Former CovCath Star Jake Walter charged with Rape and Sodomy

Well said. Joe is a fine man, does so much good, and while I hope and pray that the victim is okay, I can't help but be sad for Joe as well. Now his kid on the other hand, not so much.

Also, and not for nothing, I don't think Joe Walter is sitting on this pile of money that some of you are claiming. I could be wrong, and I'm certainly not privy to his finances, but I don't believe that to be the case.

Whether he has the resources now, you are right, who really knows. However, he knows how to get resources and probably knows people that do and you never know where that might lead. I have no idea of the family dynamics, where the parents have tried and said enough is enough and let the chips fall where they may, regardless of whether they have the resources or not. Or if they will fight this with their last penny.

Each of us probably would handle things differently and we really don't know what we would do, unless we were in that situation.

Something tells me that even if the Walter family isn’t able to fight this all on their own, they know how to figure it out. Joe has done enough for the community and his notoriety is big enough that if he doesn’t want Jake to go to jail for a long time, Jake won’t go to jail for a long time. Whether Joe is financially backing that himself or not I dont think will matter. The victims have to come first in recieving our thoughts and prayers, but I honestly can’t imagine the pain that Jake’s family is going through. That their son who they feel they did everything they could to raise him the right way, could turn out so evil. I just honestly can’t imagine having to experience that. Hopefully Jake is gone for a long time, but I truly hope Joe and his wife get the treatment they need to know that this was not their fault. The guilt they feel has to be a tremendous burden that they shouldn’t have to feel. This is such a horrific story in so many ways.

Three suspensions and counting in this thread, anyone else?
