fballman007
How did these guys who made 1st team All-State last year as underclassmen do this year? I would think they would make it again this year, I would think. ALL-BLUEGRASS PREP 2005 RB - Victor Anderson, Saint Xavier DB - Brian Winklepleck, Owensboro Catholic P - Ryan Tydlacka, Trinity ATH - Kaelin Ammons, Franklin County ATH - Doug Beaumont, Male ATH - Kasey Clark, Russell AP 2005 OL - Stuart Hines, Bowling Green, 6-5, 275 OL - Sam Robey, Lou. Trinity, 6-4, 210 DL - William Savoy, John Hardin, 6-0, 205 DB - Brian Winklepleck, Owensboro Catholic P - Ryan Tydlacka, Lou. UKFan16
For punting I would take Josh Bleser from CCH hands down, he was at one time during the season (week 5 or 6) ranked #3 in the country by maxpreps.com but sice then droped to #25, and is still #1 in Kentucky. Not bad Josh!!!!!!!! I also take Shane Popham of CCH who is currently #1 in the state in field goals, and #2 in the country ranked also by maxpreps.com. Great job Shane

EKU_05
I'm not sure AP has a spot for FB, but if they do May from Belfry has to be in the running. I was thinking the same thing... IMO he is hands down the best FB in Kentucky.. but I am not big enough of a homer to consider him to be in the same league as Beaumont, Anderson, etc in the RB coupling. modok
Trent Calhoun RB/DB and Braxton Miller RB/DB from Lincoln Co. ............I know its a homer pick but both are very talented on both sides of the ball.
OutlawJoseyWales
RB Harmon from Pikeville should definitely be in the mix. IMO, one of the best backs in the state...regardless of class.
oldram
After reading this thread, I don't want anyone griping about the AP all-state teams. What's the word --- provincial? I did go back to the question presented at the beginning of the thread and it said pick who you think from your team or another team. I am sorry that i offened MLB50 or any other BGP person by naming a couple from the team I am following. I am not from Raceland so I thought i could give an honest opinion. iPapi
If I had my own all-state offense I would probably pick these guys first. QB: Kaelin Ammons - Franklin Co. RB: Vic Anderson - St. X RB: Justin Collins - Western WR: Clark Jeter - Henry Clay WR: John Cole - Somerset WR: Doug Beaumont - Male OL: Stuart Hines - Bowling Green OL: Patrick Kiernan - NCC OL: Sam Robey - Trinity OL: Brad Durham - Rockcastle Co OL: Chase Duphord - Paris ATH: Chase Minnifield - Henry Clay

He did have Wayne Stevens among the states leading rushers when he was at Rowan Co..
iPapi
Is Collins more of a product of Coach Prestons system? He did have Wayne Stevens among the states leading rushers when he was at Rowan Co.. Possibly...I've only seen highlights of him & have seen his stat sheet on Rivals & Scout. Good size, great speed (defending 100m champ in AA), and I really like the way he runs. Actually, he runs quite a bit like Clark, just a little faster.
