Two names that can not be left off this list are Emily Queen and Laura Terry of Rose Hill. I don't know if RH can duplicate the success of last year, but the numbers these two girls have put up can not go unnoticed. I believe the D1 scouts agree w/ me, considering the # of offers these 2 entertained. When Terry puts up #'s again this year as she did last year, I don't see how she could be overlooked for Ms. Basketball.

Sneed is a good player but I have to agree that she has a bad work ethic. That could cost her with the college scouts. The Allen girl is good and I can't wait to watch her this season. Just imagine what talent she'll have by her junior and senior years.

Scott County will be very good and she can light up the scoreboard and it helps that this North Carolina signee plays on a team with an uptempo offense that will probably put up 80 points per game. All three are excellent players and all appear to be excellent people as well. Good luck to all three this season.

I have only seen Ms Gray play once, is she quick enough to play in the ACC, let alone major D1? I guess NC thinks she can, opinions. I know she can shoot w/anyone. How big is Rebecca?

Rebecca is in the 5-10 to 5-11 range.

Gray is much better located, geographically speaking, than are Queen or Terry. The Rose Hill duo is further handicapped by the fact that they are on the same team. Gray has also been "anointed" by the central Kentucky media. That doesn't indicate that Gray is a better basketball player but that she has advantages that tend to be more influential than do on court performances. The award is hers to lose.

Katie is a good player but no where near a top player in the state.

Probably right about that for the present. Of course she has 4 years to prove you wrong. Birds have a few young ones that should shine for coach Richey.

Bellevue has a senior center named Mindy Merritt. She is about 6'4 and can dominate a game inside.

And that I hope she does she has a very promising future lying ahead of her.

Whitney Ballenger from Carroll County has signed with Western. She is an excellent player and, if she can get some help this season, could lead Carroll deep into the regional tourney.

Gwen Rucker of Henry Clay is one of the top Jr's in the state. H.Clay is a young and very talented team returning alot of players from last years regional runner up team
