SK was really only down 1 big contributor against Beechwood and besides the score, BW basically dominated. You still had Sargent and Farsing against BW, the main offensive guys, and were missing Cogswell on defense. But SK is also a 6a school so saying they were not healthy is a lame excuse. BW didn’t have their fullback and linebacker but it didn’t stop them from holding SK to 21 points or running up 500 yards.

 

It's not a lame excuse. Anytime you have 5 starters out that hurts any program. Ask SC, they had some guys out when they lost to HC. We were missing 2 OL starters which was completely rebuilt from last yr (no returners). Not to knock any of those boys, the depth was extremely thin. Also Hammock, and another guy who is out for the season. Missing 5 starters technically. Sergent, has had an undisclosed injury all year but appears to be completely healthy for the first time since his Sophomore year.

They do have one common opponent this season Highlands. Highlands lost to Scott Co. 28-7 and they defeated Simon Kenton 38-9. Just for what it’s worth.

 

The Scott County-Highlands game was called at halftime. One would have to think Scott County would've scored more.

Facts please. I believe the only Simon Kenton offensive lineman that missed Beechwood was Nash. Missing Hammack and Cogswell is comparable to Beechwood being without Josh Derry who is a stud LB and RB that played both ways. Injuries are not why Beechwood beat Simon Kenton.

OL missing was both tackles Nash and Bounds also Fry has been out all season.
