I agree, JC CANNOT have a first quarter like they did last night. I got a little nervous myself. I think that JC learned a good lesson and will take that and use it against Ashland. Coach Matney and his staff will have them ready come Friday. I just want to say that I LOVE to watch this team play. To me, they are more than a team, they are FAMILY. It is awesome to see how each boy truly respects and listens to each of the coaches and how the boys are committed to and encourage each other. Talent is individual, they are the whole package. I believe they have everything it takes to go ALL THE WAY...Leadership, Respect, Talent, Committment and Each Other. GO EAGLES!!!!:dancingpa

Ashland has a good team, but it seems to be Johnson Central's year.

JC - 42

A - 7

I am really pulling for the Tomcats to pull the big upset. JC is and should be the heavy favorite in this one. JC - 35 Ashland - 14. Please Tomcats....................make me eat another plate of crow.::thumb:

JC 49

Ashland 7

Too much Shawn Grimm and the rest of the running crew'

Defense is dominate as always

I plan on it. Do you want to treat me to one of those great burgers? :D :D :dancingpa

I would also suggest after the Burgers to go to the consessions under the bleacher and try the new Cheese fries they have started serving. It is waffle fries that taste like arbys fries with cheese and bacon bits on top. They are good and since JC alum is buying i might meet up and get some food myself:D :thumb:

were not to bad at football either:D

I certainly hope the Ashland posters will add to the conversation this week leading up to and after the game. As vocal as they are in nearly every other thread, it is a shame if they don't hold up their share of the conversation in this one.

I wonder if they know how silly and petty it makes them look when they orchestrate this stupid "boycot" of these game threads. It reminds me of the kid whose team falls behind in a sandlot game and he decides to take his ball and go home. I know it may not be be perfect scenario, and it looks bleak for them, but bowing out of the conversation entirely is a bit cowardly, IMO.

Surely they can show good sportsmanship and hold their composure long enough to discuss the biggest game of their season. Their kids deserve it, their fans deserve it and BGP deserves it.

So Tomcat fans, don't bow out, stay in the game and let's talk it up. Don't just sit idly by and watch the changing of the guard in silence.

BTW, Matney and company my hang 50 on the Tomcats this week. The Eagles are rolling and the upcoming matchup with Rock or Bell looms very large on the horizon. That will be a matchup to see.
