Early indications are that Vito Tisdale, OL Tre Cofer and SR WR Harrison Riggs will not play on Friday night in Indy.

 

So even though I like the score in that article, not sure it will come about.

 

But you have to be smart and I think that's what the Purples are attempting to be.

If Tisdale isn't playing, this will not be competitive, IMO. I've seen both teams in person this year, Warren Central is the real deal. I will be very impressed with BG if they can keep it close.

Understandable, the game next Friday matters much more than this one.

No Tisdale makes it very hard to beat them. Anything can happen, but I’m not sure they have another player that can account for his yards on offense.

I was told Vito is playing.

They should release the media notes today so I guess we’ll see then.

Vito Tisdale, according to BGHS media notes, is not listed as starting as running back or at corner or safety.

 

If he is on sidelines in street clothes, he’s a no go - if he is on sidelines in uniform, it will be hard for coaches not to play him.

 

One thing remains - get in and out of game with zero injuries.

I've watched BG football since the late 80's. I can say this, I have rarely seen them in a game where they were just out of it from the get go (with the exception of the '02 anomaly team). The only ones I can remembers from 1997 to now (a twenty year span - not including the weird '02 season):

Henderson County game in 2008; that game was a complete train wreck.

Thanks for being a great fan of the Purples! There has been a handful of times (more than 5 games) the Purples has laid an egg, but all teams do!

 

This upcoming game is actually the last regular season game for Warren Central. Like BG, they will play starters only when necessary. They will certainly try to win the game but will want all their players healthy for post-season.

 

I will say that this Indianapolis team is the real deal. Some local coaches from Indianapolis area think that only 10 to 15 teams in America can beat this squad. Pretty impressive statement.

 

As I said before, regardless of score, Purples will go down swinging. Hoping one of those punches could be a knockout - Go Purples!

I’m still hearing Vito is playing.

Vito just replied to WC Football twitters tweet about it being senior night. Looks like he might be playing after all.

Spader believes the bye week and a fresh challenge has the Purples locker room focused and re-energized. Outside of the questionable status of senior offensive lineman Tre Cofer, the Purples will enter Friday healthy.

 

 

Junior running back DeVito Tisdale, Bowling Green’s own four-star prospect with offers from several Power 5 schools, will return after sitting out against Grayson County. Tisdale has 11 total touchdowns for the Purples between offense and special teams.
