I couldn't care less who wins this game. I was just having some fun with colonel-fan.

I’d like to see HHS pull out the upset but don’t see it happening without help from CovCath making mistakes. I agree having fun the CovCath faithful is fun. Keeping injury reports hush hush and such like the game plan is going to be changed. It hasn’t changed in a decade why start now?

I like both teams but blood is thicker than water, give me the Colonels.

16 fathers of Highlands players. I think last week I was the only one who voted for Bellevue over Beechwood because I was afraid my son would see that.

It is sort of like being married, you have to watch what you say in front of your wife. :lol2:

Or spelling things when the kids are listening “ u p s e t “.

Last year score of Scott County game was 71 to 20. This year 28 to 7. That counts right? 51 points....

28 - 7 in the first half only. If this had played out, doubt very much it would have only been a 21 point Scott victory.

I don’t know, seems like you may be speculating a bit. Did you see that kickoff return and that one other play? The Birds were just getting ready to turn the corner!

Birds dont have the offense to win this game. Dont care what happens early in the game. Over 4 quarters that will be the difference. To many 3 and outs will put them behind. Birds defense is good but wont be able to stop Cov Caths offense enough to keep it close. JMO

I see we have 16 members that voted for Highlands.

What makes anyone think Highlands is going to win this game?

Because.

Homer picks.

I just voted for Highlands based solely on a "Homer". Why wouldn't I? And the fact it was brought up. Who cares! Most are voted that way anyway. Don't kid yourselves. I'm surely not voting for the BlueBoys. Not in this game!!! Nor any game or event against my team - Highlands!!

Just sayin! #SCIT #MHFGA

Highlands will come out with their hair on fire but will be fizzled quickly by the superstar talent of this Cov Cath team. Close first quarter than Cov Cath by 28.

In last years 52-0 Cov Cath blowout wasn’t the score at the end of the first Quarter like 7-0?

Was curious how "rare" the blowout wins of the past 2 years really were. If you consider a 30+ win a "blowout, here is the list of "blowouts" in this rivalry.

Interesting that the list is so long but between the years of 77-90 there were none.

In last years 52-0 Cov Cath blowout wasn’t the score at the end of the first Quarter like 7-0?

Score at the end of the 1st quarter was 9 - 0, CovCath. It was 31 - 0 at the half.

The key to this game for me is if Highlands can be "competitive" for 4 quarters no matter the outcome. I might try some things(wrinkles) both offensively and defensively, but not tip my hand too much because the game that really matters is if they meet again in the playoffs.

Last year they went to CCH and you could tell in pregame warmups that they expected to get beat. There was no "fire" in the players and/or the coaching staff. To be honest, it was after watching this game that I felt changes needed to be made in the program.

Good luck to both teams and hopefully everyone stays healthy and they get to meet again in the playoffs.

I am sure hoping HHS will be competitive! I agree the offense will need to change the look. They did not change from the 3-5 format on defense at Scott County and it ended exactly how it should. If they don’t use two back sets, counter and jet it is going to be lopsided and they are not going to move the chains! For the love of the defense please look to get outside the tackles or at least the threat too. Inside slants will not work better bubble screen or have TE hold and block and drag!!!! The offensive scheme Eddie’s squad will feast! Highlands defense will make a game effort but they have to get off the field and their offense has at least sustain a drive or two!
