Top 25 Coaches Poll

Let's say Alabama, Ohio St. Clemson, Oklahoma and Notre Dame all go undefeated...who gets left out of the playoffs?

Will weak ACC keep out Clemson?

Will weak conference keep Oklahoma out?

Is the Notre Dame "Name" enough to bounce them over an undefeated power 5 team?

I think it'd be a coin-flip between Clemson or Oklahoma getting omitted, but I'd probably lean towards Clemson being the odd team out.

All undefeated? I'd guess that OU gets left out, but that's purely a guess.

As bad as the ACC is this year, if Clemson has a loss, they don't belong in the playoffs.

I will have to see how they look the rest of the season and how everyone else looks. I will most likely agree they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs, but it would take more than losing one game for me to believe Clemson isn’t a top 4 team.

I think Notre Dame or Clemson are likely the odd ones out due to lack of conference champ for ND and no top 25 wins for Clemson.

I'm of the belief Clemson would probably be odd team out, but Miami is a top 25 team no matter how much you don't want to acknowledge it.

I was leaning that way too until I realized they'd have two wins over West Virginia if they win out. That would be two good wins.

Yeah, it would be between OU and Clemson.

You said one of the most talented and well coached teams in the country wouldn’t be ranked. Why would I just take that as a differing opinion? That’s just blatant hatred.

Because you say so? :lol2: Football is a pastime for me, not my life. You take this stuff was waaaaay too seriously.

Miami is a top 25 team right now. But they aren’t on Clemson’s schedule currently. They will in all likelihood face off in Charlotte, but I’m just talking about the 12 teams currently on their schedule.

The entire system would be changed immediately if an undefeated Notre Dame gets left out of the playoffs. The media is too in love with Clemson to leave them out so I'm guessing Oklahoma. Either way if an undefeated conf champ is left out; we're moving to 6 teams immediately.

I could be wrong but I think current contracts are in place for 3 or 4 more years, so it would take at least that long to change system.

In that case let’s hope they all go undefeated.

They say I blatantly hate OSU? That's what I was addressing.

My bad I thought you were still throwing out the idea that Ohio State wouldn’t be ranked. Like JA and I were discussing though, hate isn’t a bad thing in college football. In fact, hate drives college football. Embrace it.
