Bobby had to have know that we were going to suck. Why in the world would he try to sell this team as a good team?

 

I mean, I could have gotten behind an attitude of

“it’s going to be tough making up for losing Lamar, we”ll take some lumps but I like the way our guys battle. We”ll only get better as the season progresses and the best part is, freshmen and sophomores develop into experienced juniors and seniors.”

 

I could have gotten behind that. The louisville fan base could have gotten behind that. Problem is, Bobby said we would beat Bama. He was clearly trying to pump up his team... but you HAVE TO question his ability to evaluate talent at this point.

 

How in the crap can we only muster 3 points to Virginia.

And just like that..... the excitement and optimism for the 2018 College football season is ovvvvvvver. It’s ovvvvvver.

I still stand by the idea that Bobby was the best available coach within Louisville’s ability to hire at the time.

 

But this creature we’re seeing now? This isn’t him.

 

I want the guy who coached Louisville and Arkansas last decade and made every QB who played for him into a star.

I'm afraid he's just punching the time clock. And it's difficult to revamp the coaching staff when there are so many relatives on it.

Granted, I don't watch a lot of Card games but I did watch most of this one. Both sides of the ball seemed slow to me and playing reactive instead of proactive. If it's poor coaching as far as players not understanding schemes fully or a drop in talent I don't know.

 

In the past Bobby's offense regularly had people running free just from scheme alone...I didn't see many people running open or free today.

Bobby and staff are mailing it in because he knows he won’t be fired because of the buyout.

I honestly don’t know. I couldn’t say if it’s complacency or his miserable temperament behind why the coaching staff is full of his entire family.

 

By the numbers, Louisville is recruiting at a higher level than ever, though that’s probably going to come to and once the Lamar shine wears off and we’re recruiting off this dud of a season.

 

I worry he just doesn’t have confidence right now and he’s panicked and has started just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. If that’s the case, there’s no telling how low this is going to go.

This is definitely a lot worse than I was expecting. I’m not expecting a Cardinals win the rest of the season. Any win from this point would be an upset after today’s performance.
