Troy 24 Nebraska 19

Definitely not the start that Frost was looking for, but it wasn’t going to be anything close to easy in his first year. I still believe that he’s going to do good things there, but it’s going to take time.

On another note, some teams may want to think twice when scheduling Troy, they beat Nebraska yesterday and LSU last season.

It’s hard to believe that Nebraska has fallen this far in football. When I was in high school and college back in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s they were thrashing opponents 77-7 and winning national titles.

It is still weird to think about with the success that they had in the past. I believe that this main problem involves Nebraska not drawing talent like they used to be able to, which has been the case for quite a while now. For Nebraska to get better, that’s what will need to happen and time will tell if it happens under Frost. The challenge is that most players want to go somewhere that they are attracted to geographically, which has changed immensely over time. A really good example is UCF where Frost was at before. They didn’t have a history of being a powerhouse football program, but players bought in to coaches to a point and to the area of UCF.

Give Niel Brown and Troy some credit. Wins over LSU and Nebraska now in last 2 seasons.

I’m sure he will be getting some phone calls eventually.

Neal Brown is about to get PAID! Pretty good for a Boyle County boy.

He's making $800K now with a $3 million buyout. I'm guessing he'll be at or near $2 million where ever he is next year, if he chooses to leave.

Just a great football mind.

Brown is likely to be next year's Frost. Another big-time win for Troy.
