Outsiders will see this as a surprise as I don’t think many had any expectations of the Cats. To me, I expected them to be 4-0 right now. A slight hiccup vs Brossart last Saturday got in the way of that. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them knock off Frankfort next week.

Good, I’m glad to see that Newport is playing better again.

Congrats to the Newport Wildcats, I am really happy for you guys!

To be honest, I was impressed with both teams tonight, even though Newport was far superior. Ludlow is very well built and looks as good as most 1A teams in the state. They need to have less turnovers and must negate the big play, but they play very hard. Newport is so athletic. Wow! Their speed and ability is incredible. If they defend, they will be tough to beat. Congrats to Joe Wynn and his team on a very well played game.

Kaleal Davis is an absolute stud!

Kaleal Davis was 5/13 for 99 yards. 7 carries for 122 and 2 TD’s. Also he had 3 INT’s and 2 FR’s on defense. Porter ran for 111 and 3 scores. Jackson ran for 102 a 1 score. These kids are really good.

Ludlow isn't very good.

Newport is turning into this year's Logan County. What a turnaround! Tons of credit has to go to the new coach there.
