August 30, 20188 yr Plus open end stadiums suck. Yeah, I was never a huge fan of the open end. It was cool being able to see the skyline from the south end of the stadium, but I'm pumped about the expansion. Makes it feel more like a "real" stadium IMO.
August 30, 20188 yr How do you create more good seats for ticket holders......add more bad seats, lol. LOL. Honestly there isn't a bad seat in the expansion. There's really not a bad seat anywhere in the building, other than the nose bleeds of the flight deck.

And I'm a fan of both schools UofL & UK because I had a child at each (should be at my house on game day) but I must admit I'd rather watch a game at Cardinal Stadium than park my rear on a piece of wood at Commonwealth.

No, just friends, family and acquaintances but the two couples I cited were long-time season ticket holders. I like UL (and UK for that matter) but I have concluded that many erstwhile strong UL fans (faculty members included) are fed up with the scandals and are showing their dissatisfaction with their pocket books, and this is not just normal annual attrition.
September 3, 20188 yr Enjoy an afternoon or evening of college football by attending a local NAIA game here in KY. Good atmosphere and affordable prices and several of our local kids to cheer on. My grandkids love going to LWC games and have become fans. Several good teams in the Mid-south right here in the Commonwealth.
September 4, 20188 yr We go to both UK and UL games. Season tickets for UL last two years and never have issue getting tickets for the UK games. It feels like if it weren't for tailgating that you would not as much of the discrepancy in the numbers. But there are a some people who love tailgating - and have season tickets and the obligatory parking pass to hang out with friends all day in a parking lot - but never go into a game. Commonwealth/Kroger had big chunks missing in the corners on the visitor side this weekend. I know it was Labor Day weekend and a bit hot, etc. But I remember going to an opening day EKU game years ago and having seats near the top of one of those corners. Definite change. On the UL side, tickets are on the 50 about 1/3 way up on the flight deck. Last year the seats in the row in front of us were usually empty. Different people seating in them at times and when we asked they said they got them off stubhub or similar. So it was likely a season ticket holder who was selling game to game that had those seats. But it was not only this row but other seats in the area were often empty.

I buy the cheap tickets up there regularly, and never sit up there.

September 5, 20188 yr I attended the UK-CMU game and in the first quarter the stadium was about 65% to 70% full IMO.
September 5, 20188 yr College football requires a serious commitment of time - basically your entire Saturday. Add in the expense. Add in that I can sit at home and watch the game on a very nice TV and see other games as well. Why would I devote my entire Saturday ?
