For me, if UofL is playing at home, me going to the game is priority that day. If it takes up the whole day, so be it. I rarely pay for tickets and when I do they are dirt cheap. We have a great tailgating group that is away from the main lots at Cardinal Stadium so it's a better deal. Someday I may change my mind, but I can't imagine sitting at home watching a UofL home game on TV.

The TV experience is fine, but nothing beats being on a campus for a college gameday. I don't understand the issue with going to a game taking up my whole day. I want it to take up my whole day. What are people in such a hurry to get home for? :idunno: Yeah... For the people that actually live in the town/city where their team actually plays, I don't get it. Now if you live several hours away, that's different. And from time to time there will be an event that you'll miss a game for. But I don't see my mind changing about going to home games for a long, long time.

All of this plus what others have stated above - the stoppages in play and length of the games now. There are few things more boring than sitting in a football stadium waiting and waiting for the TV commercials and replay reviews, etc. It ruins the flow of the game and I am stuck there to just sit and stare and wait. For some reason the waiting doesn't bother me as much when I am watching at home. Plus, if a game is bad I flip the channel and find another game or something else.

You'll go from watching most games live at the stadium, to watching most games on DVR. Especially if they are into youth sports.
September 9, 20188 yr Let’s face it...ALL sports is getting way too expensive to attend. By the time you buy a ticket, parking, concessions, etc. most of the games are on TV and I can watch them without all the traffic and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ spent, plus be at home instead of trying to drive hours after a late evening start which would get me home after 11:00 after A LONG GAME!
