Agreed. Choking is an act of aggression, not self defense. If Zach Smith choked his wife, IMO he is guilty of abuse.

I agree as well. Because I agree is also why I’m so perplexed as to why her mom has come out and basically agreed with Zach’s side of the story.

Where is the proof? Her mom is on record saying “she told me she was going to take down Smith and Urban Meyer.”

 

According to ColonelPops post there are text from the mom detailing the abuse. My question is, if the mom has proof of the abuse in text, then why would she be exonerating the abuser and siding against her daughter...something doesn't add up.

I can only speak for myself, but I don’t WANT Meyer fired, literally has no bearing on me or the team I support whatsoever. I don’t hate OSU, because again, no reason to. What I do want is you to acknowledge your stance on other coaches and how it’s 180 degrees different with Urban, that’s all.

I agree 110%, this whole thing stinks. I default to the police department investigating and never charging. That’s how it works in this country.

Of course that's not proof either but who would blame her if she were abused by Smith who was enabled by Meyer.

No disrespect but I don’t believe that. Also, I’ve only been after facts from the beginning of the Meyer saga. If you’re referencing how I treated the now fired UL coaches for their transgressions? Sure, I was cynical about them, I openly admit that.

That is a convenient position, one that I may even take if this was my favorite team or coach. That said, There are people all over this country that get away with crimes for various reasons...yes, even when the police know about it. I've been around Law Enforcement most of my life and I can't count the number of times I've heard a police officer or detective say they know who did a crime but couldn't charge them because no one would testify, there wasn't enough evidence for a conviction or they were flat out told to stand down by superiors...unfortunately it also works that way in this country.

It’s a slippery slope basing info off text or screenshots. Which one of her phones was this from? Did her carrier corroborate it? Why is her now estranged mom, backing ZS in some instances?

 

The rules of evidence have developed over the last 800 years, if we’re gonna take someone’s job, reputation, freedom, not just ZS, anyone, shouldn’t it be corroborated?
