Saw this morning via Twitter that South Oldham is having a naming ceremony for their court during the first home game in 2018-19 for current Dragon coach Steve Simpson. Great honor for Coach and well deserved!!

Awesome! He's done a fantastic job!

He is as good of a person as he is a coach. He also is in charge of our FCA and sends a motivational scripture out to teachers that ask to receive one once a week.

I know he is retiring from his other duties at the end of the year, know he wanted to stay on as the coach. Has his coaching contract been renewed for next year ?

He will be back coaching.

Congratulations Coach Simpson! He was my first High School Coach. He was my freshman coach in 1985-86 season. He has come so far since then. When I played for him, he told us we were not allowed to shoot anything but elbow shots and FTS! He has changed a lot! He is a great man and a great coach. He also had great influence on my brother who played for him. I am happy for him and his family! He has done a great job in his career as a coach, teacher, and mentor! Many lives affected in a very positive way! Great job coach!!!!

Agreed, I also saw him remove a rowdy fan from the gym one evening last season.
