May 6, 20188 yr OMG had the greatest time at the derby party I attended. My childhood neighbor has been running it now yearly for nearly 40 years, and though I've missed a few here and there I am so glad that I attended this year. Such a great time with good people from my roots.
May 6, 20188 yr I did pretty good for a change. Had the Oaks-Derby Double, a show ticket on the Oaks runner-up, two Derby exactas and had an across the board bet on Good Magic, which placed 2nd. First time I've cashed tickets on Derby in years. But I'm not sure I wasn't still drunk from yesterday's Derby party when I headed up to Turfway this afternoon. Whew. Great weekend.
May 10, 20188 yr Was quite a week to be in Kentucky...especially in the thoroughbred industry. Between breeding shed runs and moving horses into Churchill Downs, it was good to have Derby Day to just watch races. Now, going about the business of sending some horses onward.....and breeding shed runs.
