The kids have to want to be coached as well........ I don't think any coach in the state Ky wants to be mediocre(sp). I guarantee every offensive line coach in the state of Ky stresses to their players that they have to be aggressive in firing off. I don't know what they do at practice though or what their attitude is like in practice, I am just going by what I see in the games. The point is this. Paris is very atheltic. They have some great individual athletes, but they are not a very strong team. The key word being "team". It just seems that anytime a team comes out and "hits them in the mouth", they back down. Do I hope Paris wins? Absolutely. Will they beat Raceland? Based on what I have seen when they face good teams, I don't think they will. It could be long ride back from Ashland for the Hounds, which will make it an even longer trip next week.

Yes some of them do back down.

Hopefully they will all take some insight of what others are seeing and saying and turn it around?

I don't know it's kind of late in the season. BUT we shall see.

I hope they will prove us wrong and go get the WIN

It's Senior Night and I think it is Class of '96 Reunion night. If it is Raceland may have found some eligibility for JK Kearns to suit up and break the Greyhounds hearts again 10 years later.*

Raceland 37

Paris 12

*=For those that may or may not remember Kearns caught the winning TD as time expired against Paris in either '94 or '95 giving the Rams the district title.

I dont think you all understand how good this Raceland team is!

RACELAND- 44

Paris-6

Raceland 35-13.

Raceland 34

Paris 21

Should be close the first half and then Raceland coaching kicks it in at halftime and makes better adjustments than Paris' staff...no disrespect to Paris staff intended - Just My Opinion of what will occur.

Just calling it as you see it?

If all the above is true then Raceland should come away with a big win. The Rams WILL pound on you all night long. Big hits are the order of the day. Some of these kids just can't get enough.

How else can I call it? :jump:

It is also part the coaches fault. Seems like everyone wants to beat up on Paris' line (including me one post last week). So if the line isn't firing off the line of scrimmage and is waiting on the defense, then the coach needs to be looked at, and if there is not much discipline, then who's fault is that? Kids can be as good as they are coached!

KF11 - this is WHY I see it the way I called it...I agree with you on this.

It seems like there may be some slightly over-rated players on Paris' line area in my opinion, but ya can't coach SIZE! So many colleges will take the chance that they CAN help kids with size get good enough to make a contribution to a D-1 school. Especially as athletic as some of those prospective Paris linemen are...they just need some direction and encouragement in the right areas and they can help some D-1 schools - they all seem like good kids to me.

That is one of the reasons why the scheduling grid was set up next year that says Week #11 must be a non-district game.

:thumb: I wasn't aware of that. I still don't like the 2 playoff games determing th district champion though. That imo should be determined by the regular season and not just have the season count for playoff seeding only. JMO

We had two starters out with injuries in the Fairview game. What is their status for this week & the playoffs?

Good question cville. I haven't heard anything on it. Hopefully someone can fill us in.

That's the way it's done in every other sport that has a district postseason. I see no reason why it should be different for football.

I hope they have a good post season too. Either way they are both great teams.:ylsuper:
