Paris vs. Raceland / Thoughts and Predictions

Featured Replies

Rams had a nice offensive practice yesterday. Senior DE/RB Joe Stephens practiced yesterday after sitting out against Fairview due to a injured shoulder. It will be nice to get him back this week.

Thanks for the injury update:thumb: A healthy Stephens will make a huge difference. A great attitude from a great kid. It is good to see him dressed and ready for his last regular season game. He is an impact player.

Does anyone know ahead of time what Ref. crew will

be doing this game?

Hopefully not the crew out of Lex. that did the game

last week at Fairview. I heard that they were very

confused.

Your sources would be correct. They called a pretty good game just couldn't decide what was next after the initial call was made. It was reported as their first game so I am sure they will improve.

I have not heard what crew is scheduled for Friday.

OK KyFan11 Why the Argue heads?????

Hey guys, rumor here in central kentucky is that Paris is pulling out all stops to beat Raceland and get the home playoff game. I was at Giovanni's eating in Paris and just over hearing what some people were saying. They were talking about a whole new look against the Rams and attacking them like LCA did. I don't know but sounds to me like they are desperate for a win. I think Hoof and the staff are very cabale of a counter attack after the LCA game. I think Hoof , and T.J. learned a little after that game. LCA caught them offguard and kept them on their heels all night. If they aren't ready it could be a long night in Ram stadium.

Do you mean that Paris is going to come out in a whole new offense, or something to that effect? I think it would be impossible for a team to come out with a whole new look in one week, I say impossible meaning that it would probably not look very sharp. I am sure that Paris probably has some things Raceland hasn't seen, and I am sure Raceland has some things that Paris hasn't seen. There is a lot on the line for these 2 teams Friday night. So I am sure both sides might have a few "tricks" up their sleeves.....

:thumb: :thumb: I agree JV, I feel that they couldn't possibly install an entire new "O" in a weeks time. Everyone at this time of the year with these kind of stakes (home playoff) on the line puts in a few "wrinkles", that is nothing new. That really doesn't matter though and besides, they all have a plan................................. untill they get hit.:D

The thing that worries me the most about Paris is their overall team speed. Imo speed is the one thing that is very hard to prepare for. I feel confident in that the Raceland coaching staff will have our kids well prepared and focused.

I am not sure what they meant. All I know is they were talking that Raceland had be on their A game this week. I am a Raceland grad I am not going to say something to start something. I over heard ot at a Paris eating establishment(Giovanni's-- better than any in the Ashland area GUARANTEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyway these people were talking adamently(spelling) about Paris and the new look for the Raceland game. Take it as you read into just saying what i over heard.

Raceland had walk through practice today at Ram Stadium. The field is in pretty good shape but things will definetly be getting sloppy tomorrow night. Everyone seems to be healthy and ready to go. This is a huge game for both teams....... I also heard a little rumor that the boys might be breaking out some new jerseys for the game. The rams have been getting held alot due to their jerseys being so loose, so the RHS coaches put in a order for some new ones. However, I'm not sure if the order will be in yet.

I didn't take it as to you didn't know what you were talking about or trying to make light of you or anything Austydak. I hope that you didn't take my post like that. I don't know jimmV but I doubt if he was trying to discredit you either. I know that you are a Ram fan like I am.:thumb:

I didn't rambler I know what you all were meaning just I thought it was kinda stupid to put in a new offense too. You never know, desperate people do desperate things to win at all cost.

Paris may not look so desperate Friday night. They have some good size, good speed and good athletes. We had better bring it.

I would say there are adjustments to the offense. Isn't that what is called strategy?

Until the LCA game it looked like their Offense was clicking- but some things fell apart. SO I guess one could say, a new offense...

BTW- Raceland had their hands full with Paris last year.

I would say both teams are Hungry for the win, I wouldn't go as far as saying desperate.
