Camels played the best team ball I have seen them play all year. They continue that kind of play and they will be a very tough out for anyone.

Campbell County looked well coached with good discipline, UHA was the complete opposite. In the Western part of the state you can run teams out of the gym with pace and athleticism, but at Rupp you have to be able to slow the game down and compete in the halfcourt.

 

UHA brings back about everyone and only loses 2 seniors in the rotation, but they are 2 forwards and probably our tallest players. UHA has issues with depth and size. They need to work on defending in the half court and running set plays in the offseason, if they can fix those things they will be a top 15 team in the state next year.

 

Kyky Tandy is probably the front-runner for Mr. basketball for 2019.

Watched UHA at the Lexington Catholic tournament in December. Great athleticism, but they don’t like to guard. Seemed a bit selfish too.

I saw them in the same tournament and felt the same way.

 

Having said that, they should be pretty solid next year.

Lot of nice comments being bantered around Rupp last night about Aric Russell's team's play in the UHA game.

 

It was fairly obvious that UHA doesn't spend a lot of time on "Shell Game" at practice every day. Talent can only take you so far.

 

I think the Camels-Oldham game will be a good one. Both teams have a lot of similarities. Both should match up well with each other, and the game should be well-played.

I really expect the Camels to have an easier time in the second round with Oldham than they did in the opener vs. UHA.

This is a good Oldham team that matches up well with the Camels.

 

They have beaten Simon Kenton, Walton-Verona, Warren Central (soundly), and share 20 point wins and losses with John Hardin.

Is it just me or does Day seem deceivingly good? To look at him he doesn't scream b-ball player, but wow is the kid ever efficient and dependable. He took no time in having me feel confident in him, and immediately it became apparent that when the ball is in his hands this Camels team is solidly in control.
