Final. From Bryan Station. Lexington Christian playing really well at the right time of the year. Bryan Station going the other way. I would not be surprised at all that Henry Clay wins now in the district next week at Frederick Douglass.

Dalton for LCA didn't play (no idea why). Hunt played very well filling in for him in the starting lineup.

Rode continues to impress me. He isn't as athletic as the other top players in the state, but his combination of size, ball handling, passing, rebounding, etc makes him a very difficult matchup. He has to be one of the best passers in the state.

Really all of LCA's big guys pass well, and can finish inside consistently. They get so many "easy baskets." Great team that appears to be peaking at the right time.

On the other hand, Bryan Station just hasn't been the same since the first half of the first Scott Co game. The way things are trending they very well might be knocked out by Henry Clay in the first round of the district.

I think they and Madison Central are the top threats to Scott County in the Region.

Earlier in season at SC; they were playing very well before Rodes got hurt. They seem to be clicking at the right time.

The 11th region is weird. I don't necessarily think LCA is a top threat to Scott County. They may be, but they have to get past Lexington Catholic in the district. A team they've lost to twice. I know Payne is out for LC, but for whatever reason they are a good matchup with LCA.

Lafayette played Scott County close two times, but got beat soundly by LCA twice. LCA is a bad matchup for Lafayette because they are so big. Bryan Station is similar. They have to get past Henry Clay, but their game with LCA seemed to show they can't compete with LCA's size.

Madison Central seems to be the second best team in the region and they have the advantage of not having to worry about getting beat in the district.

All of this. I love his game. He can do a little bit of everything but his passing really stands out.

I have personally seen the top 7 teams in the 11 region play at lest twice 5 of them 3 or more times. While I think it is probably the deepest region in the state and has several excellent teams in it. However in my opinion (while I am not a homer for any team in the region) I don't see anyone beating Scott County unless a team plays a terrific game and Scott Co. is off a little that day. While that could easily happen with HS kids. I will say this if Scott Co. plays the way they have been the past month it will not matter how well the other team plays Scott will win.
