I voted NO. And two of my favorite preppers (Bluto and OldRambler) have opposite positions. When I read one I change my mind and vice versa. I think I will change my vote to YES and would get rid of Archer. I have never liked him and am still be shaky on Brooks and would stay with him only because of some improvement. But the D is killing us. Why did we hire him back? I thought he did a bad job the first time? Am I wrong?
I think he had one good year!

Moral of the story. Don't be a dirty program, and at least you don't have to deal with situations like this...

I think Archer will have to fall on his sword in order for Brooks to keep his job. All in all, the offense really hasn't been the problem. But the defense just isn't putting them into a position to win games. We saw the same thing with Archer the first time around when a few starters got hurt. With his starting unit, he's OK. But he just doesn't seem to adjust well when he has to plug other players into his scheme.

I think he may be gone before the next game! I can see something like that happening just to stir things up.

I think a move now shows signs of panic. The season isn't lost with a loss at LSU. They can still make a bowl with three winnable games left. A change now may send the wrong message.

You could be right!

What about the coach at Rutgers if there is an opening at UK for next year?

All the Big Blue Nation and Die Hards should show your support by buying your season tickets for next year with the stipulation that if "Rich Stays"... If he is let go, voice your concerns to Mich, if he is still around.....

WAKE UP PEOPLE...... What part of the equation are you missing????? The UK program is continuing to REGRESS and is not moving forward in any quantifiable category. If you accept this, REMAIN HAPPY...........

Do you have any names of these up and coming coaches? Just Curious!

Tulsa head coach Steve Kragthorpe. Has done a good job rebuilding Tulsa. Currently 5-1 ranked 25th in BCS poll. From what I understand this is Tom Jurich man if Petrino ever leaves UofL.

I will support him until the end of the season but then I say clean house and lets look to the future. I have been one of the bigger Brooks supporters but a loss like this when they should be showing signs of improvement is just unexceptable. For everyone that is throughing Archer under the bus by hisself should save a spot for Joker. As bad as it is to allow LSU to score 49 it is just as bad for UK to score 0. The best two SEC teams they have played so far they have only scored 7 points.

He should be supported through the remainder of the season. If you fail to support Brooks you fail to support the players. You do not have to like him but support for your program never ends.

I do not like Brooks and think he needs to go but I have asked the question many times, Who would you replace him with and would it truly make a difference? This football program simply can not compete as they now do. What will it take to make the program what it needs to be? Is a change in conference in store?

I support Kentucky football (have and will continue to even though it is so hard and sometimes I want to divorce myself from this disastrous relationship), but I do not think the program is heading anywhere.

Although I could live with firing Archer and seeing what happened, I think the correct move at this time is to clean house.

Good coaches every now and then will win a game there not suppose to. Plus they will not lose games they are suppose to. I haven't seen that with Brooks during his tenure. I know Archer is the coordinator but Brooks is the head coach and is known for his defensive prowess. He was "D" coordinator when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl. He has to take some of the blame also. I will root for Kentucky ALWAYS!! I don't see this problem fixing itself.

Brooks and staff need the "support" of all fans, including those like myself who do not think, he's the coach for the future.

I've stated on many, many previous threads in the last 2 years, I don't believe he's the type of coach, to turn around a program and have UK, competing in the SEC. I've indicated, only 17 winning seasons, in the last 52 or so, is certainly not all Brooks fault.

With all that said, Brooks IS currently the Head Coach at UK and in order for any program to succeed, they need player support, coaching staff support, financial support, emotional fan support and recruitment support. to "keep the family together"

Brooks certainly deserves Emotional Fan support during difficult these current times. Players state and seem to like him but most, will always speak favorable of their leader in public, as well they should. Each has there own opinion or should he stay, should he go. I've not been impressed, with his tenure at Oregon or the Rams but just my opinion.

Coaching staff support is key, as a head coach is judged by wins and loses, which are usually a direct result, of the coordinators and staff, he hires. Brooks has hired some potentially good ones, while others appear....not so good.

Financial support, seems solid and the UK Athletic program, appears to have the practice, weight-room, and indoor facilities, that are needed.

Recruiting support, certainly seemed better this year but spurts of improvement, are over-shadowed by continued lackluster games.

It boils down to 3 things....

1) Coaching Staff - Is the staff and system in place to take UK, into being competitive in the SEC, under Brooks for the next 5 years.

2) Players - Does UK recruit and sign, the type of players to be competitive in the SEC, under Brooks for the next 5 years

3) Combination of Above - Are both part of the reason

Support Brooks, YES.....Have to like his system, coaches or future....NO - Can you do both, YES provide financial assistance and attend the games, cheer on the players and hope for the best.

^ supporting brooks and providing financial support to the UK program does not sound like a wise investment or much fun..... I applaud your reasoning and support for UK.... Just don't see how this can be fun for the average fan??? After all, what is there to get excited about???? Ok, the band sounds nice, one can watch people (45,000 or so), tailgate in the parking lot befor the game and after the first half.... Keeneland.....UK has a lot of things to offer from a entertainment perspective, its just a shame that the football program is NOT one of them.....
