I have no problem with what is said after the play is dead ( I guess as long as it isn't too homer-ized. Of course, being a homer and being enthusiatic is hard to separate sometimes).

PA announcers should NEVER talk during the play and should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER do play-by-play.

If this is all he does then I have no problem with it, but if he does as some others have mentioned such as tell who has the ball during the play then that is out of line.

Just shows how things get started. A claim is made what is done and it cannot be confirmed, just exaggerated.

I think that Greg Rose has doen an exceptional job.........giving credit where its due whether its his "beloved" Camels or the opposition. This "ONE" incident that seems to get bigger and bigger and a flag last year.....come on! Back up that with details but since it did not happen that could be hard. If the announcer blerted something out I am sure it was an honest slip (remember guys, he is not a professional announcer only a businessman volunteering his time and energy) and if you really think that the players on the field listen for his direction you must have never played football. I seriously doubt that an announcer's comment would dictate actions on the field, I would think that it could have been the movements of that quarterback that could have made that defense react not the announcer's commentary.

I think it is a shame that all high school progams do not have a PA announcer with the personality that Mr Rose displays. If its anything it's jealousy. And last year I did witness the parents of SK trying to "storm" the announcer booth to get a piece of him. Now that is a shame and a detriment to the game. He does not overshadow the game only adds another layer of entertainment just as the bands and the cheerleaders.

Keep up the good work Greg, you are appreciated by the Camel faithful and by many of our opponent's fans that come to the Pyramid.

Oh and by the way.............great victory last night CAMELS!

As a regular at Campbell County and reading this, I see posters starting to make things up. A flag last year? Better name the game because it didn't happen. As for LSURock as for junk in sports, great, look forward to not hearing any overboard rock propaganda, etc. at a home game! He makes a neat deal out of great plays after it is done. He cheers the touchdown and the first down, what is wrong with that. And if any posters have problems with it, start taking it to Ft. Thomas with the cannon, many places with the bell, some with fireworks and not to mention radio announcers who are guilty as sin. He points out the visiting team success with first down and POINTS OUT the Camel first down. If your team does not do that at your home game go talk to your lazy sports directors and make them do better.

"overboard rock propaganda"??? ( you might want to hit that shift key). Are we talking about fans or the PA announcer? Fans can run their yap all they want, I certainly do. But at Trinity and most venues I've visited the PA man is nothing but professional. It sounds like your guy is over the line.

He even provides drive thru service for the concession. Just ask some guy name Thomas.

Thanks for making assumptions.

You all don't seem to realize that this is not part of the game. You all think its neat and cool, but it is wrong. The announcer cannot have an effect on the outcome of the game and this crap should not be allowed. How can you justify telling the defense that the QB is going to run it? How can you justify telling the defense that its a fake?

And rumor is speakers are in the players helmets to hear all the details too. Since legend is on to something perhaps he can point out which direction these illegal words are coming out of the speakers, that face the crowd and not the field. There is nothing understood on the pa system on the field. This is why your comments are funny and incorrect.

Ha yes there is, I was on that field, which is why my comments are true and correct. But good try pal.

I don't mind when is he yelling before the play trying to pump of the Campbell defense, I actually thought that was a good idea and I support that, but the play by play has to go.

Where were the complaints when Campbell was losing games?

Boy you sound bitter so from all Camel Fans we apologize if our announcer blerted out something in that one game changed the outcome of that game....I am sure if he had not blerted out that the QB was going to pull it in and run our Camel defense would have just let that QB go and pursued the running back, fullback, wide receivers that were not in the play and who did not even have the ball. And oh by the way....how many other games have you been to at the Pyramid...since you seem to proclaim to all that our announcer does play by play directing our defense. I don't think one emotional mistake makes a pattern.

Come on let's stop the negative and get over it. It's only a game.

If a PA announcer had an effect on a play on the field even once then his PA career should be over. No discussion necessary.

You're right, it's just a game, it should be decided by the players on ths field. An adult in the press box with a mike should have NO IMPACT on what happens on the field EVER.

I understand him trying to be inovative(sp) but I just think he should not give play by play, I'm not bitter at all, and I didn't say that the defense was just going to let the QB go. If you look in other threads on here, I have praised CC, in that I think they have one of the best programs in NKY 4A and a great defense, I just believe the announcer should not comment during a play. I wish that some of the other programs in the area had the coaches you all have and the program that is being built (I say that not knowing exactly what you all have coming up). I totally support the direction the program is headed in and I am not bitter, I just believe the announcer should not talk during the play.
