December 10, 20178 yr Which player will make the better NFL quarterback? I’m not knowledgeable enough about football to know that answer, so just asking. Neither. But both are magicians at the college level.
December 10, 20178 yr Congrats to Baker Mayfield. He is 'just' a pocket passer - but an outstanding one. Congrats to Love as well. An outstanding running back. Not sure how Love ended up ahead of Jackson but so be it. They noted Love had an amazing stat of over 8 yards per carry. But so did non-running back Lamar Jackson. It was interesting to see that stat noted as a differentiation in Love's favor. Congrats to Lamar Jackson for still making the final list and having an even better year following his Heisman year. It was interesting that after Lamar took the stage as a previous winner that the Heisman awardees on stage were book-marked by two Louisville-connected guys. Notre Dame golden boy and Louisville Flaget star Paul Hornung was on the left and Lamar Jackson was on the right.

That’s the funny part all the homers are targeting Mayfield, when Love came in second.
December 10, 20178 yr And you think Mayfield is going into Death Valley and Beat Clemson? They may get their chance so we'll see. But you act as if I am attacking his talent, not the case. I am saying that I believe that Jackson had a year also but you want to reduce it to stat stuffing. Don't see that as the case. Don't care what conference you are in, you still have to play which is what they both did.

December 10, 20178 yr If he could go into Death Valley with Louisville's team and beat Clemson, then winning the national Championship with Sooners should be no problem. We shall see. Oh, by the way, OU is a bit better than the Cards, Quite a bit.
December 10, 20178 yr Funny to see the Buckeye faction stumping for Mayfield as if that somehow makes them feel better about getting embarrassed at home. Has a very "S! E! C!" feel to it... :lol2:

December 11, 20178 yr What you said BBJ, Mayfield ain't taking one to the house from 70 yards out. Neither is Tom Brady. But just because Tyrod Taylor is capable of running one in from 70 yards out doesn't mean he is better than Brady does it? Weak argument lol
December 11, 20178 yr Neither. But both are magicians at the college level. Curious on why you think neither? We have seen similar qbs of Mayfields size and even attitude do well in Brees, Wilson and Favre.

I liked Baker last year when OSU embarrassed OU on their home field. He's been one of the 3 best QB's in the country every year he has been at OU and this year he was the best QB in the country. I think this was just a poor attempt to take a shot at me and other Buckeye fans.
December 11, 20178 yr Author Thank goodness Iowa's QB wasn't in the running!!!!!!! Just give it a rest.
