December 11, 20178 yr Baker Mayfield was the clear choice for the Heisman. Lamar Jackson is clearly the best college football player in the country. Both of those statements can be true and factual at the same time. Pretty much, kinda evens out after Jackson and Watson.

December 11, 20178 yr Author While I don't think Lamar is clearly the best player in college football over Baker, he's without a doubt the most talented and electric player. I'm taking Baker 9/10 times to be the QB on my team. I just like what he brings to the table from the mental aspect of the game and his leadership more than I do from Lamar. That's not to say Lamar isn't a leader, I just think Baker is a better one.
December 12, 20178 yr Yep. Mayfield can make all of the plays Manziel did and he can sit in the pocket and pick you apart. I love watching Mayfield. Sadly I probably will have to hate Him in the nfl. With both Patriots and Steelers needing a young qb for the future. I can see of them taking him at the end of the 1st round.

December 12, 20178 yr Depending on how the playoff go, I'm not sure Mayfield falls that far. I don't think he will go top 10 unless Darnold, and Rosen stay. Most of the other teams in the middle aren't exactly looking for qbs. So I can see him falling to end of 1st. Hardly ever if ever seen a 6 foot qb drafted in the top 10 or even top 20.
December 12, 20178 yr Latest mock I've seen has him as the 4th QB taken, going in the early-mid 2nd round. I think that's probably about right.

I don't think the Steelers or Pats will be picking in that range.
December 13, 20178 yr No way he slides out of the first, unless he flops in the playoffs. Dude is just a gamer. Most of the time I can’t stand the cocky/brash guys, but I love how he plays the game. He seems to just love the game which is why I think he succeeds in the NFL
December 13, 20178 yr Author He seems to just love the game which is why I think he succeeds in the NFL That's exactly why I don't like the Johnny Manziel comparisons. Manziel didn't love football, he loved what football did for him. Baker LOVES playing football.
