Did anyone see where ICN 6 had Holmes 49 Dixie 10...

I about fell out of my chair.

I knew it had to be a mistake.

They had it as 49-0 just a minute ago. About choked on my chicken wing.

Oops

Makes you wonder who's reporting those scores.

Nice job Colonels. Joey played very well. Be proud of how you responded young man. Marty and the rest of the O did very well in the run game. Aubrey looked good, just needs to work on his vision a little. Detmer, Benson, Stahlkamp and Mosier had nice games on both sides of the ball. Walls did well too on D and special teams.

I'll post a little more later. I'm gonna go celebrate a little.

1-2-3 Dixie Pride!

Looking forward to hearing more about the game. Have fun as you :jump:

Congrats Colonels on a big win! :thumb:

Dixie played well on both sides of the ball. The offense was able to move up and down the field most of the night. They shot themselves in the foot on 2 drives in the first half on center exchanges. Otherwise, the running game was doing great. Bricking was hitting his receivers when needed, but he's still holding onto the ball a little too long. However, the first 2 scores were touchdown passes. The defense pretty much shut down Holmes triple option threat. Holmes speed wasn't a factor at all as Dixie just dominated the line on both sides of the ball. It appeared as though Holmes was just tired in the second half. Guys were slow getting up, runners weren't protecting the ball, and tempers were getting the better of them.

Some smart-alec calling in phoney scores. Me thinks someone out there needs a life

Overall I thought Dixie played well for 3 quarters. The 4th quarter was sloppy for both teams. Dixie is still making unforced errors which they will need to eliminate if they expect to win any more games this year. You just can't dig a hole for yourself against good teams like Campbell Co, Ryle and whoever they play in the playoffs. The good news is that they made fewer this week.

Holmes was competitive in this game although Dixie clearly was the better team. I was surprised that Holmes didn't get Jefferson more touches earlier.

After Dixie went up 31-6, it looked to me like Spritzky called off the dogs. The play calling turned very vanilla, and he was getting other guys in the game, particularly Phillips. He kept it on the ground to keep the clock running.

I saw it and started calling people only to find out it wasn;t true.

Or ICN could actually secure the correct scores from the area rather than believe a crank caller.

Tough loss for the Dawgs, but Dixie was obviously the better team..good luck to both programs the rest of the year
