They did have one first down for sure but I am not sure how many negative plays they have had so it is believable.

24-0 Beechwood halftime

Exactly what I was afraid of ....Raceland unable to get anything going offensively. Our defense has been on the field basically the entire game. Can't get the Tigers powerful offense off the field combined with 2 turnovers and you have a Beechwood domination.

Raceland looks like they have a solid Class 1A Football Team but they are no where near Beechwood's level this year.

What has been impressive for Raceland is their run defense. Just about shutdown our rushing attack and Burch has been pretty effective hitting the shorter routes, especially throwing to Mescher on out routes away from the trips. Going to be hard to decide Player-of-the-game if 2nd half mirrors the first. (Mescher or Burch?)

Is Beechwood that much better than All other single A teams or was the other side of the bracket that weak? I really don’t know how Raceland made it to the finals....... They need to make some major adjustments at half and the line needs to block to give their qb some time to take some shots.

One of the Beechwood coaches had a pair of cleats in his hand at the going coss...What's up with that?

 

Last year Mason Buschelman was the heart and soul of our title run. Tradgicly after the season was over Mason had a seizure and passed away. He was a truly an inspirational kid and like I said he was our heart and soul so in honor of him the captains carried his cleats from last year out for the coin toss. This team is a family and Mason’s passing was very hard on them and the whole Ft.Mitchell community. This game is as every game is for Mason Buschelman and his family. #WeAreBeechwood
