I shoot 2 times a week at the gym and I'm pretty sure I would get close to 80. Unless you are doing this on a regular basis I don't think most would get to 70 honestly. Some are severely underestimating the rust factor.

This goes to my earlier point. Unless you are putting the time in, most people aren't going to be able to just roll down to the gym and knock down 70% of their free throws, regardless of how good you were in high school or college. It's hard to be good at something when you're not doing it on a regular basis.

I agree. If you have a few days to prepare that's one thing. But going in cold is pretty tough. It would take even someone who was a good shooter about 10 shots to get into any sort of feel.

I can say with 99.975% certainty....

I could not shoot 100 free throws in any relatively short period of time.

I love the gung ho posters who make statements like "no one on this site is hitting 90%...." etc.

How would you know that?

I agree with gung ho. No one on here makes 90.

Agreed, the first few weeks I started doing it weren't pretty. Took a while to get in the grove.

Oh ye of little faith. LOL

Maaaybe 60-70% now in a gym not filled with distractions. When I did play, I was about a 75% shooter, but a bit better when I focused.

I think I would be in physical therapy if I even attempted 100 free throws at one time. I am going to go with under 25 depending how good I get with the granny shot.

Disagree

In my prime I would say around 60 out of 100.

Shooting 100 in a row, in a quiet gym, I'd guess 65+.

I'm going to try next week. Haven't shot in a little over a month.
