First off, I'm just as big of a UK fan as the next guy, with that said, Kentucky has been blown out in back to back games. Lost close games to both Florida and Ole Miss. Kentucky's defense has been horrible past couple games, granted one game was @ Georgia. But against Louisville? A team you beat last year.

 

Stoops has done great things at UK, on and off the field, 26-34; 2-10, 5-7, 5-7, 7-6 (Bowl Game loss), 7-5 (fixing to be 7-6).

 

Projections show that UK, coming into this game, was Belk Bowl bound against Wake Forest, I'm sure that will change.

 

If I'm a recruit, no way do I pick UK over anyone unless your name is Vanderbilt or unless I wanted to play for my home state's team, cause you'll win no more than 7 games a year and your not beating, Florida, Ole Miss nor Georgia.

 

I think If I'm Mitch Barnhardt I make it hard on Stoops to replace some coaches this offseason ....

I'm not so sure the only coach Stoops hasn't replaced since he's been here isn't himself. Just sayin..

There are 3 coaches left from the original staff. Schlarman, Stoops and Marrow.

7-5 is really good for UK. UK fans need to realize it’s floor and ceiling. This is a team composed of a lot of 3 star Ohio guys. Is the SEC East realistic? Even with a historically bad SEC East I don’t think so. UK is pretty much where they should be a 6-7 win team.

I agree with everything you said year in and year out but this staff this season mismanaged two games that there was no way the Cats should have lost. The Cats should have been realistically 9-3 this season. But in most season you are correct the Cats main goal is become bowl eligible.

I agree, I think the thing that has upset so many is that two more games SHOULD have been wins. UK had a legit shot at winning 9 games this season and couldn't get it done. That said, I'll take an under acheiving 7-5 team over an overacheiving 5-7 team every time.

I also agree with you and 16, UK let a few golden opportunities slip away. Maybe that’s where all the frustration is with the poor coaching/clock management but the team is above average which is great for UK football.

Stoops has risen the program to its high water point, he will have a job for life if he leads them to 7 wins a year, considering their terrible non conference schedule that should be attainable.
