I think this poll is fairly accurate going into the season in my opinion, at least the top half. Maybe Holmes and Highlands a notch higher. Should be a another fun year on the girls side in the 9th.

After watching the scrimmages at Ryle, I think Holmes is even better than the last two years and should be much higher. There are 5 or 6 really good teams in the 9th.

Ryle will be fascinating to watch this year. Their first 5 can really go at a high level, but they don't have a second unit. Health and rest will be critical to that team - more so than any other team in NKy. If they can get 2-3 JV kids to step up it would be a huge help.

 

SK at 7 and Cooper at 8 - both teams with D-I signees. What does that say about the level of competition in NKy? Could be an epic year...

Don’t sleep on Campbell County this year.

It is very amusing to me that Simon Kenton is both 7th in the NKY poll and the CJ state poll.

NDA is just down for now. Plus a really good NKY 2018 A really good Frosh class is there now and an outstanding 8th grade class is coming in next year so they will be back. Soccer has taken a couple players. They will be competitive this year but agree with them not being in that top 10. They have seen some mentioned in that top 10 play and don’t feel like they can’t beat several of them. They are small this year like many nky teams but do return 4 starters. .500 season would be a successful season for them. Male, Mercer mason Cty, Ursuline Plus everyone in a that top 10 is on the schedule. Good luck to all and stay healthy all year
