November 20, 20178 yr I have many veterans in my family, but there is something special about WWII vets. This breaks my heart. I have no desire to watch the video, so I will assume that what is said about the nurse is true. Far and away, nurses are some of the BEST people that I know. However, just like any profession, mine included, there are those that sully the name. This would appear to be one of those.
November 20, 20178 yr I can't stand to watch the video but if true, I hope they are fired immediately and never allowed to work in healthcare again.
November 20, 20178 yr Word of advice to anyone with a relative in the hospital and ESPECIALLY in a nursing home. BE VIGILANT. Have family members visit on different days at different hours. Speak up when something isn’t right. Older people are so often abused and neglected and no one ever finds out.
February 23, 20188 yr Don't see how they can make a murder charge stick but I sure hope they do a lot of time. Would be surprised if that happens though.

Georgia has a felony murder statute, something Kentucky doesn’t. So if you’re committing a felony, in this case, abuse or neglect of an elder person, and the person dies as a result of the underlying crime, you get the bump up to murder without the necessity of a jury having to find malice.

Thanks, that's good to know.

March 1, 20188 yr This is the first I saw of this video. To think health care professionals could hear someone saying they could not breathe and then ignore and laugh at him...just makes me sick. This guy's last moments on earth were in total distress and fear. Shameful...
