Come on How can any one forget that victory over a #7 LSU back in 1988. The Bucks tied LSU in 1987. Buckeys are 1-8-1 all time vs. the SEC. :eek: :banana: :cry:

 

What is hard to believe is that OSU has only played 10 games all time vs. the SEC conference.

 

Right now Top to Bottom I will have to say the SEC leads the Big Ten.

The reason why SEC teams play no more than 1 quality out of conference opponent is because in the SEC they get tested more than any other teams do in their respective conference.

The fact is, you cannot punish the SEC nor criticize them for not scheduling a load in their OOC games. If you don't have any cupcakes, which you regularly only have 1 or 2 in the conference, it is near impossible to go undefeated.

Agree, but then again, that is basically saying that the other 2 teams won the bid to the national championship the year earlier. I don't like the system and I understand there is no way around it, but I do believe that the AP voters could have had a say as to whether Auburn got to play in that game.

I agree that Auburn was more deserving of the bid than Oklahoma, but I saw nothing to make me think they would have beat USC in that game. Played them better? Likely. But, that's about it.

I know thats your opinion. But last year no one gave Texas a chance at beating USC. ESPN had a series about if them maybe being the greatest college football team ever, but they got beat.

Also I dont believe hardly anyone thought Ohio St would beat Miami a few years ago.

No because that was the YEAR BEFORE!!!! The year Auburn went undefeated they actually had great QB play. I dont know who would have won the game. Thats like saying Florida had no chance of winning a National Title last year based on what a team with all the same players did the year before.

So what your saying is Jason Campbell didnt become a whole lot better a year later? Believe it or not players improve. Its like Andre Woodson from last year to this year. He is a completely different player.

So, are you saying Leinart, Bush and White didn't get any better as well? It's a point of refrence, and is the only real marker to show that USC was the clear favorite in 04 reguardless of who they played in early January. I know it hurts the SEC homers feeling to hear, but that's just how it was...
