Boyle did struggle against Danville especially on third down but I don't think Danville is being given enough credit for this. I've heard they are pretty good this year. Not saying they havn't adjusted things for the better but a very good D was a little responsible for that game. Lot of young players and new starting QB took a little time to fine tune. I'll tick off some with this next thought but I think Pardue catches a little too much junk on this sight. Qb was running for his life most of the Danville game. Whole team is better since that game and I think better because of that game. Just my opinion as usual.

 

I agree he catches way to much junk the man does a great job. I am not sure of many more OC that have won 5 straight state championships played in six straight. I would venture to say not many have even played in that many let alone won them he deserves more respect than he is given at times. I also agree Danville wasn't given enough credit for the Boyle win the better team that night won that game period. Do I wish we could play it again absolutely do I think it would be a different outcome who knows. The best thing about this time of year is that they are in two different classes and other than local bragging rights that game dont mean squat for now.

Hopefully this will provide Boyle with an opportunity to work on some concepts they will need down the road in the semis and/or finals.

My concern with Boyle is they really haven't played a tough schedule this season after the Danville loss. I know they cannot control if programs are down (Lex Cath), but it's often hard to improve against bad teams.

I'm not sure I would go as far as saying their schedule was weak Wayne county and Collins have both been ranked #1 in 4A and I believe Wayne is still #1 and Collins is top 3 Western Hills has been ranked top 10 all season and even though Lexington Catholic is down they've played a tough schedule and should make it to the regional finals, Wayne's only loss was to Boyle and Collins only has two losses this season One to Boyle and the other to Louisville Ballard, and if this is the case that Boyle couldn't have improved by playing bad teams then I guess Danville is in real trouble with the exception of Boyle and LCA they have played a weaker schedule than Boyle.
