Thanks for the picture. The call was more difficult to make than the video angle showed. Tough break for Oldham County.

Quit watching at halftime. Did Oldham make adjustments that stopped the Birds or did Highlands go vanilla to get out with no injuries? Or a combination of the two?

So does the ball ever hit the ground? The video and the picture here both show control. The only thing we will agree on is the reff called it incomplete.

That was a tough break the incompletion call in the end zone. Kid made a valiant effort but you had 2 referees right on it.

Highlands didn't change, starters were in and still throwing the ball. They only had 3 possessionso the 2nd half

I am a little confused in this thread. Are people disappointed Highlands wasn't able to put a running clock on Oldham County? Are people knocking this Highlands team because they fell one score short of a running clock in the first half? I mean, the game was a a total blowout and never in jeopardy. What are we talking about here?

Big man Dunn laid the wood tonight!! Pancakes all night long. If I saw him coming on a trap you bet my head would be on a swivel. I love a lineman that puts in the work!!!!

Cramer should have been the starter, and at least got reps as a sophomore at QB last year. I’ve said it for two years. He is a prototypical QB. 6’4” 190-200. Cannon for an arm and poised. He looked great.

 

And Huddy is what we have missed through most of the year with his injuries. He is one hell of a ball player.

Another question here. So this is Hihglands 1st TD, can someone explain to me what the referee is doing. To me it sure looks like he is marking him out of bounds back at the 5 but the other reff signals TD and he just stands there for a few more seconds, holding his arm out and then walks away? Is this just something they do? Mark a spot where they might have looked like they stepped out of bounds but didn't?

Just did not see the same lever of play and intensity in the second half. A number of Oldham better athletes were going both ways and had wore down. I figured that HHS would take advantage but too many second half mental mistakes and penalties that should never happen when up 34 to 7 at half time.

 

If HHS is going to advance this cant happen next week, given the team will be better and its an away game.
