Icehouse vs. Bud Ice

Bud Ice. Remember when it came out, thought it was great. Not so much any more but better than Ice House

Two of the worst beers I've ever had....Just nasty stuff.

I know quite a few people who will only drink Bud Ice. I think it's ok but nothing special. Better than icehouse.

Bud Ice is the WKU to UK (Bud Light) and Louisville (Bud). You constantly hear this little buzz from a small population (Bowling Green) and they constantly claim they can compete with the big guys and they should get more respect. They even got a big name "5 star" spokesperson who promised to do a few commercials for them, but then backed out once he realized it tasted like crap. :lol2:

Both are pretty terrible, IMO, but forced to choose one I'll go with Icehouse, if for nothing more than nostalgia. It was the first ice beer that I can recall drinking. It came out about the time I started college and I can remember how excited some of my fraternity brothers were about the higher than normal ABV.

Bud Ice was my beer of choice in college when I had a few extra bucks. Bought a six of it a couple years ago on a whim...and it was truly terrible, and even worse, it came with a headache attached.

 

Still, I’d drink it over Icehouse.
