October 27, 20178 yr I’m sure it was meant to be funny as they appear to be laughing and having a good time. But I also do think it is a double standard. The fact that Ellen is gay also puts a twist on the situation. Much like most of the crap that we see in the media, this was a simple pic made in fun but some clown tried to make a big deal out of it. Now go eat some sugar pops or make another claim about an 89 year old former president in a wheel chair groping you! It is and probably always will be a double standard. Same thing for teachers having sex with students, males will always pay a bigger price than female teachers.

October 28, 20178 yr I am blessed enoug to work with a very diverse group of people. We get along very well and it is one of the reasons I love my job. We are very comfortable around each other and many of our conversations could easily be construed as sexist, racist, and homophobic by an outsider. As someone said, it is the context of the situation that matters. Katy Perry didn't seem to think it was sexist, so it isn't.

October 29, 20178 yr I don't see it as a big deal, but I didn't think it was a big deal when the white sorority girls were singing the Kanye song with the N word in it, but some people sure got bent out of shape.
