If SK makes their extra points, and the one field goal they missed it is a seven point game with 4+ minutes left.

Despite that SK looked very bad and got destroyed on defense. Every level of their D looked horrible with the secondary was the weakest point.

SK racked up the yards on kickoff returns. At least three maybe four were an ankle tackle away from being six points.

Tommy Gibson, who had a couple of the long runbacks, is a gamer. He played the whole game with a visibly painful sprained ankle. When he wasn't playing he was limping around and struggling to get back on the field.

Bishop lead with the crown of his head on that one play which was a dumb move. I love that kid to death and wish him the best, but that's something you just can't do. I saw a EKU scout or coach jog over there to see how he was doing when he was on the ground. I know how quick colleges are to turn away injured high school seniors, so I hope that the injury doesn't cost him anything in terms of a scolarship there or anywhere else.

Can any camel fans tell me if their frosh won this week?

They beat both Pendleton County (10/2) and Scott (10/5) this week.

It was a scout, since the EKU coaches are in Birmingham AL for tomorrow's game vs. Samford. Anyway, EKU does look at SK intently every year since they have had such success with recuiting Matt Schoborg. I don't believe his injury scare will deter them. I just hope they took notice of Tommy Gibson while they were there.

The EKU/SK connection is deeper than that...

The voice is still a mess, but I feel a little better. Thanks... :thumb:

Indeed it is....

As for the game, got their a lil late start of the second,... or perhaps you could've called it the end of the game.

SK played hard and didn't give up after getting down by alot and to that I give them props, however giving up a big lead early killed them,... really in my opinion this game was closer than what the score shows. If Campbell doesn't eat up as much time on their first drive of the second it could've changed the game also SK getting picked off with 2.5 ticks on the clock before half and getting returned for a TD KILLLED THEM..

Also the kicking game was horrible.

SK is probably a playoff caliber team, but don't think they'll be their, however, I think they'd be at best a second round team in the playoffs.

Also on a side note 45 & 59 for CC looked like some pretty good sized boys. They were the only ones that really stuck out to us but they were good sized guys for high school ball..

79 a junior is also a big boy.....ought to see them on the basketball court together for the Camels. :scared:

This game was never in doubt, although SK didn't quit, they didn't come out fired up and ready to play like CC. Part can fall on the coaches for not having their players ready, but you also need to blame the players, they didn't come out swinging.. I hope Bishop will be ok, that was a hard hit by both players, I was standing on the fence right next to it.. Not really surprised about the outcome but its a shame for SK's season to go like this, keep your heads up boys, although the playoffs might be just out of reach you can still put together a good season with a good record.

Another great game for Brandon Griffin of the Camels, over 100 yards receiving and the interception runback for a TD just before halftime to seal the win for the Camels. It was definately one of the hardest collisions I have seen on a high school field between Brown and Bishop. They were both luck they weren't seriously injured. Camels cannot let up with three district games left and I am sure the Staff will remind the players of just that.

To me that's not a dumb move at all by Bishop. They were down 31-13 and the kid is still giving it all he has to make a difference in the game sometimes it can turn out for the best sometimes it can go to the worst. That was not an EKU coach or scout that was simply his grandfather walking over with Bishop's mother and father to check on his injured grandson. That is how rumors get started.

IMO, the thing that hurt the SK defense the most was the inability to make an open field tackle on the WR. After SK had cut the lead to 10-7, CC came right back with an 80 plus yd reception for a TD. Had the tackle been made, it would have been approx a 30 yd reception. That's not great to give up, but CC would still have had 50 yards of field to go, and you still have a chance to make plays. I can think of a few more WR screens and slants during the night that turned into long gains because of missed tackles, too.

I failed to acknowledge this in prior posts. Being down 38-13 at half, after experiencing an emotional drain on the interception return for a TD, the SK kids could have thrown in the towel for the second half. They didn't, and for that I commend every one of them.

The hope for the playoffs may be slim, but you still have your pride to play for, so keep working hard on the areas that need improvement, and give it everything you've got for the next three weeks and see what happens. :ylsuper:
