Actually a better game than the score indicates.

Really?

I was there. I would only agree if you meant the score could easily have been even more lopsided than it was.

Nope. Mad Cent. had some opportunities and we played pretty sloppy.

Makes it nicer when a team wins by 46 points and plays sloppy. ;)

I thought they played absolutley horrible.....They play like that against CovCath and they will get killed...VERY VERY SLOPPY!!!!!!!!! They better wake up.......:madman:

True dat. ;)

How did they play sloppy? Could someone give me some details of the game? Did HHS run the ball the whole game, or pass it some?

I went to the game and thought the Birds played pretty well overall. Kramer played like the stud he is and the game was never in doubt for more than about 30 seconds into it. Sometimes you just have to take your "sloppy" 46 point win and be happy. Its sometimes not that easy to get ready for an opponent that your supposed to beat badly. I also thought that Madison Central fans traveled well. It seems as thought they got caught up in that traffic jam on 275 on the way in.

More likely, they were looking for a place to park.

Yeah Birdsfan, Your probably right, parking is not the breeze it once was at the old Birdome....You actually had to walk a little shorter than usual tonight though.......

We had another field...and nobody told me?

What did the Birds Faithful think about the performance of the Conner kid tonight.. I thought he looked similar to one Justin Frisk at this same point in his high school career. If he turns out to be only half as good as him, he will be one heck of a ballplayer. Lookout the next few years, because this kid is the real deal in my opinion. He looks like the best true RB we have had in a while. By this I simply mean he looks to be a little larger and stronger than some of the backs we have had in recent years.

Highlands has a great place to watch a game. I thought Kramer and #22 were both studs. MC won't face a team near as good as this, even if they do play Henry Clay or Scott County in the playoffs.

Highlands came out with a bang and went up 20-0 with a 3 play drive, an on-side kick, and a long pass play. MC cut the lead to 20-3 and was driving to make it 20-10 when they lost the ball on downs. After that the game was never close again. JV played the entire 4th quarter for both teams, it was 42-3 with starters in.

Madison Central's defense settled down in the 2nd quarter and made two big stops on 4th down and forced two turnovers. They just got beat by the long pass plays and Kramer all night. I don't know the official stats but he had a ton of yards and had a long screen for a TD called back as well.

The MC offense drove the ball nicely in the 2nd quarter as well but couldn't do anything once inside the 20. Some of the play calling still baffles me. They can't protect the QB if they try to run 5 and 7 step drops, their best passing game is a 3-step drop or quick pass. Also, why do you keep running QB keepers when you have so much other speed in the backfield?

I just hope the Indians can wake up and come ready to play. It seems like every game they have to be down a TD or two before they start playing. Overall, good experience and this should get them ready for GRC and Lincoln.

Please explain!!!!!!

No disrespect but I just didn't see the game this way.

On a side note, It was really nice to meet nWo. Hope you made it back safe, and thanks for the insight on the game.:thumb:
