I had a very successful twitter handle for WKU things, and decided that it would be useful to partner with barstool to take it to the next level, which it absolutely did. I'll leave it at that. Point is: great company and great leadership. Going places.

October 18, 20178 yr Barstool is pretty funny, in a super sophomoric way. I enjoyed their podcast for a while, but have come to the opinion that their sports takes are pretty poor IMO. I view it more of a comedy brand that looking for sports takes depending on the person.

Anybody going to Barstool for great sports takes probably doesn't know much about sports themselves. It's a comedy site specializing in sports, not a sports site.

October 22, 20178 yr Been a stoolie since about 2009. I consume most of what they put out. I listen to Barstool Radio on Sirius everyday and the bi-weekly video series Stool Scenes is one of the best things on the internet. KFC Radio , Pat McAfee Show , and Young and Happy are probably the 3 podcasts from them I listen to the most. But I consume all them based on topics or guests. I saw a stat they tweeted out recently. Barstool is like the 9th most downloaded podcast network and Espn was like 6th or 7th. Barstool had 14 podcasts at the time and ESPN had like 76.

From what Barstool President Dave Portnoy said, it seemed like there was a small, but loud uprising inside of ESPN that wanted Barstool out. It wasn't more of a "why" they wanted them out it was more about the "who" wanted them out. There are lots of people at ESPN who really like Barstool and I'm sure are pretty ticked off with their employer right now for catering to the PC police.
