PMT is great still catching up on them and Pat Mcafee show is the best. He is hilarious and has a great supporting cast.

I love Pat McAfee.

I had never heard of this until I just saw a story about sexual harassment or something like that and remembered I had seen this thread title. :idunno:

If you read the story, the fuss was all about a clause in their contracts that essentially says that you can't be offended by any jokes made about you or anyone else. It said nothing about sexual assault or harassment but social media quickly turned it into that. It's a comedy site, it's basically standard practice.

Site is banned in our office so no idea.

Definitely NSFW.

I've been under contract for Barstool for about a year now, and I can agree with the things mentioned here. It's a brand that has little time for niceties. PC culture, politics aside, hasn't helped any media company at all. The vast majority of people do not care if something is a little offensive or crude or generally frowned upon.

Sports and humor are about enjoying yourself, and Barstool grew a niche in a market saturated with media and humor companies that care more about being "PC" than they cared about having fun and being entertaining. Barstool has been predominantly focused in big cities in the northeast before the last couple years, and they are spreading out towards the south very quickly, and are trying to do more than just major league sports, too. It's pretty interesting to think about just how big I think they are going to be in the sports and entertainment industry just a few years from now.

What are you under contract them for? Howd it come about?

I have never paid much attention to them, but after seeing whoever Barstool Nate is, completely destroy whoever adamcbest is on Twitter tonight, I decided that I am going to pay a little more attention.

Decide to recors their debut show on ESPN2 at 1am.

What's the best way to listen to them? They on iHeartRadio at a certain time and channel?

Best way is through the site. They have a massive podcast network you can find there as well. I tend to consume mostly the video and podcast content, but they have some guys that put out high quality blog content as well. They are live on Sirius/XM Rush Mon-Fri from 12-2 as well.

Pardon My Take, The Pat McAfee Show, KFC Radio and Mickstape are good places to start on the podcast side. The Rundown, Pizza Reviews and Stool Scenes are the video staples...

Their shows are podcasted. If you have an iPhone you can just open up the podcasts app and download as many as you want. I'd recommend the Pat McAfee Show. Love that guy.

I saw that this morning. Wow. i guess Nate is the founder of Barstool and Adam is the founder of Fansided. He took him apart. I have never been to their site but I follow Pat McNally on twitter and he had the rundown. Good stuff.

Nate isn't the founder of Barstool, Dave Portnoy is. Nate is a full time blogger and a really strange dude... :lol2:

Barstool is pretty funny, in a super sophomoric way. I enjoyed their podcast for a while, but have come to the opinion that their sports takes are pretty poor IMO.
