Beechwood 62 Bellevue 8

Featured Replies

Beechwood has a lot of players, but I dout the have a 6th string. Get real?

Do us all a favor--comment on things that you actually know about . . . . . .

Tell us about how great Holy Cross is.

You are much better at that. . . . . .

But the funny thing is--you are right--the kid really wasn't a 6th string RB. That was the first time that he had ever played the position--so that would probably make him 17th string if you want to get technical.

In reference to your comments about Coach Rash--that pretty much tells me that you are an assistant at Bellevue. All I can say is--you guys are ALL CLASS. And--if you were there like you say you were--then it doesn't take a genius to see that no one was trying to run up the score. (And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that he was talking about the last TD---not the sweep). I won't say anything about the rest--because the players at Bellevue deserve better than what my ears heard. Coach Rash is a stand up man. QUOTE]

In your reference about the players--that pretty much tells me you are an assistant at Beechwood. I beleive that Coach Rash is a stand up guy. I know that he called Coach Eckstein to apologize for the line coming back in. In fact, he said to his assistants immediately after the game, and I quote "Do you guys see what you brought on me?" when confronted about the line change. Apparently, some over-zealous assistant who is in fear of losing a 47 pt. lead in the last two minutes and wants to run out the clock did not consult with Coach Rash. Maybe that assistant could learn a few things from Coach Rash. Good Luck the Rest of the season. I do see Beechwood winning Class A.

I need to learn my lesson--but here goes . . . .

That "over-zealous" assistant is actually a very well-know and well respected assistant. After last night--it would have been EASY to say some choice words about the staff at Bellevue--we have not done that here. I would suggest that you follow the same logic. We can call it professional couteousy--you go your way--I will go mine. Again--you may really want to follow that logic. And you probably know why.

Did it ever occur to you that the "over-zealous" assistant was the same person who put in the running back who had not seen a play of action in 4 years? Probably not . . . . . if he really would have wanted to score--he would have kept in #44 instead of a kid who hasn't SNIFFED the field in 4 years. (Again--good for him that he has talent that we didn't know about).

It seems like someone is looking for an ax to grind--when in reality--it is something for you to complain about. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Beechwood wasn't making any attempt to run up the score. Maybe next time--the red and white tigers will just take a knee so these issues won't come up.

First, you obviously admit you had a senior in the game in the fourth quarter against a bunch of freshmen when you are up 55-8. That is classy.

Second, what kind of program has a senior that "has not seen a play of action" in four year when you win about 90% of your games? Again, that says a lot.

Third, I would like to know what choice words you have for the Bellevue staff. You put it out there, now let's here it. You obviously did not have the guts to say anything to the staff after the game.

As you can see, this is my first post. I have been reading this website since it began and finally, I could not take any more. First of all, anyone who lives in NKY knows that BHS never runs a score up, in fact, we have had players in the past fumble on purpose not to score. We obviously have had teams in the past that could have socored a 100 pts in some games. As someone prevoulsly stated, our so-called blow outs are usually in the 40's range. If you were in attendance last night and know anything about football, most of our 1's(skilled players) played the first series of the 3rd qt and were done. We replaced the entire line up by mid 3rd qt. Our back up QB did not even dress last night so a young man who has played one JV game at QB took over for Elliot, he is 5'5", 140 and that might be stretching it, sorry Richie. Teipel is our starting JV tb who scored on two long runs. The comment regarding the line, we had our starting JV line in, replaced the entire line w/kids who usually never play even in JV games for two plays and then put the starting JV line back in, not the V line. That was the play that Teipel went down their sideline for a long gain. The entire line was replaced again w/the biggest lineman weighing about 165 lbs. The young man who scored the last TD(Kelly) never plays and if you are counting numbers, he would be the 6th tb on the depth chart.

So, hurricane, it is very distrubing to me and I am sure many other BHS faithfuls to read your comments about BHS being "CLASSLESS!" BHS is one of the most respected programs around the state which I can not say for Bellevue any more. I can remember standing on the sidelines and watching your star running back, JD, stick his tongue out right in Coach Yeagle's face. Now that is what I call "CLASSLESS!"

As for the last comment regarding the coaches, Coach Rash was not mad at his Asst., it was the Bellevue coaches making their comments regarding the last TD. They were mad we ran sweep w/the 6th string tb and the 3rd string lineman. Those kids deserve to be successful also after getting beat up all week. Who can say if we would score or not. Heck, we let Bellevue bring a few(8-10) soph to play the freshman last week, what else can we do to be accomadating.

Nice post, smells like class.

I would say that Bellevue coaching staff is just as good or even better than most teams. Its hard to get talent in and out every year with people going to ncc wich happpens alot from the Bellevue program. If you have anything bad to say about the coaching staff at bellevue i would like to know what you have to say because if they where coaching at power house team every year they would do just as good.

Wow, you get all over the guy, then tell him he's right. That makes your arguements seem stronger.

I am only going to answer this question one time--because this should have never came up in the first place.

The JV Oline went back into the game (all are sophomores) on the fourth down play. All of them don't even get to play JV--a few of them SIT pretty much all the time. That group played a grand total of 10 plays.

SO WHAT IF THEY WENT BACK IN TO HELP THE OFFENSE GET A FIRST DOWN AND RUN OUT THE CLOCK--EVER HEARD OF THAT? BEECHWOOD ISN'T OBLIGATED TO INTENTIONALLY GAFF THE FIRST DOWN SO YOU CAN HAVE THE BALL BACK. No offense to our 3rd/4th team linemen--but they are small---and are still working on their game. At that point--Beechwood wanted to run out the clock.

And for your information--the last touchdown--the young man who scored--that is the FIRST TIME that I have ever seen him IN A BEECHWOOD FOOTBALL GAME IN HIS 4 YEARS IN THE PROGRAM. IS THAT A SIGN OF TRYING TO SCORE? DOUBT IT. (But it was great to see that he has some talent).

If you are trying to say that the first team line went in--you have NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. It doesn't take a genius to see that the first team line is EXTREMELY BIGGER THAN THE GROUP YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

And if you want to get technical--2 out of the 5 actually got a block on the play. I would like to hope that the first group could have done better than that.

In reference to your comments about Coach Rash--that pretty much tells me that you are an assistant at Bellevue. All I can say is--you guys are ALL CLASS. And I think that you need to be more careful about miscontruing his comments--he, and the rest of the Beechwood assistants deserve better than this blatant bunch of lies that you are trying to spread.

I find this whole conversation extremely amusing. Beechwood has their 3rd/4th team subs in--Bellevue's first team scores (against the 3rd/4th teamers)--and then go for 2 (when you could have kicked)--that could be considered just as classless. Get your younger kids some experience . . . .

And one last thing--if you want the tape--send me a PM. I would enjoy watching the expression on your face when you realize that you are wrong.[/QU

Obviously--I shouldn't expect a Bellevue person to count . . .

I did not "admit" that he was a senior. That just goes to show what you know--and your lack of class.

Lets see:

1st year: 7th grade (on the freshman team)

2nd year: 8th grade (on the freshman team)

3rd year: 9th grade (on the freshman team)

4th year: 10th grade (on the reserve team)

If that makes him a senior--you may want to go back to school. Your post is low class--and uninformed.

I am not going to repeat the "class" remarks of the Bellevue staff unless Hurricane wants to keep debating this topic. It happened on the field--and it is not of your concern.

I was in the stands and I am not an involved member of the Beechwood family yet, but I have been around football for sometime. I really believe the coach put that line back in to teach the younger lineman a lesson about Beechwood football. At Beechwood, I think he was trying to teach them that it is expected that things are done right no matter if your the 1st string line or the 4th string line. I know when they came off the field they were talked to and hopefully taught something and not just told what they were doing was wrong. I hope that is how things are done at Beechwood and I hope that is why kids want to play there and why they win.

Bowl Man you are exactly right. The first play the so-called 3rd string line went in the Bellevue D tackled the QB/TB at the same time. They took those kids out and replaced them w/the starting JV line. The 3rd team line was given some corrective criticizm and put right back into the game after one play, of course, that one play went for a long run down the sidelines, OH WELL.

As for what was said "on the field" after the game, the Bellevue assts. started w/some not necessary comments. These comments were made on the field and will stay on the field and it is not the general publics concern, IMO. Hopefully, both staffs feel this way which I deeply feel they do.

I will admit that I was at the game and on the field so what I have posted is GOSPEL/TRUTH!! All the other garbage you can disregard. The last TD in question was not scored by a SR but a SOPH.

Like I said earlier, check out some of the other scores around the state and be glad you play in NKY. The rest of the state could care less about the final score as long as they win. They think they are coaching college and need big wins by large margins in order to make the bowl games.

I can tell you that the state rankings and the local rankings mean nothing to the Beechwood staff or players. We know to well that at the end of the regular season, a whole new season begins and it does not matter where you are ranked w/the exception of home field advantage.

Thanks for the compliment SANDMAN! I try to remember that I am a professional so I try to act that way by not making any slanderous remarks toward anyone. Who knows, someone may find out who I am since I am a very well known person around NKY!!

Good luck to everyone, it's almost PLAYOFF time!!

Not a B-vue guy, not a B-wood guy, but I don't believe B-wood would intentionally run up the score. Let the kids play, show some sportsmanship, and for B-vue, you probably have won a few games in your day by 40-50 points, so B-vue coaches, quit whining and prepare for another day. There's always next game!

Where is Future Coach when you need him?

This is kind of funny i read post from people that say people have no class. Well sorry to tell you you guys dont have any class either. No matter what you say or think you dont have any more class then the Bellevue people. I know what your thinking now how dare i compare you to bellevue people they our the scum of the earth. Well i just did.

I think I have read enough of this sophomoric horse manure.....I wasnt at the game but saw the score on the news....I was somewhat surprised but not. Bellevue knocked off the Beechies last year in a great game. How often does this happen? once or twice a decade....... the Beechies had this game marked on their schedule since last year. You cant blame them for coming out and playing hard and scoring a ton of touchdowns.

If anyone from Bellevue wants to complain about them scoring 62 points....how about asking your 1st teamers to step up and have some nads and stop the 3rd and 4th stringers. Sounds like someone quit during this one because you cant ask the Beechwood coaches to put kids in there to play mediocre football. These are the kids who are waiting on the sidelines, standing in the cold weather....supporting their team and when they get a ch ance they take it.

I don't know much about the line switch, that sounds suspect but the overall problem here sounds like the Bellevue boys laid down and let this happen because if you have any intestinal fortitude at all.... when the chips are down you step up and you dont allow someone to stamp 62 points on your forehead.

Oh, I am a Bellvue alumni by the way.......cant say I was too proud of this outcome but there comes a time when you have to stop them. The Bellevue coaching staff is a very good staff and would be just as successfull if they were on the Beechwood sidelines so the coaching is not even an issue here....its the players.
