Beechwood 62 Bellevue 8

Featured Replies

Ah---yeah. . . . .

2nd half/2nd series . . . . . . . .

3rd to last TD was made by the 3rd string rb

2nd to last TD was made by the 4th string rb

Last was made by 5th string rb[/quote

Actually I was wrong . . .

The 3rd and 2nd to last TD's were made by the fourth string RB.

Okay, you mention the how the runningbacks were not the starters. How about the QB or the Line? I beleive I saw a play very late in the 4th quarter with Beechwood up 55-8, and they actually put the starting line BACK IN for about a 30 yrd sweep against a very undermanned Bellevue JV/Freshmen team. The starters were in the game very, very late.

Some may call it payback, I call it CLASSLESS!!!

The starting line did not go back it, it was the JV line that went back in. I know this because my son is a sophmore and was on the field. Trust me not many sophmore lineman start at Beechwood. The starters started coming off the field during the 3rd quarter.

Specifically, which first string players were in late? I understand how tough it is to lose a game like that, but if you are going to make those kind of comments, you should be able to back them up with facts.

Noel Rash is all about class. If you want to trash him, do so with FACTS!

My son, also a sophomore, got a lot of playing time. He is second string JV. My other son is a starting Senior, and did not play most of the 3rd quarter and none of the fourth.

I don't like running the score up either, but you can't put 3rd and 4th string players in a game and tell them not to do their best. They hardly ever see playing time.

Beechwood has a lot of players, but I dout the have a 6th string. Get real?

Noel Rash, his staff and team are all about class.

How did that happen? My apologies to Quickslick. Looks like it happened to you too cshs81.

Please tell me why a whole new set of linemen, who were very sweaty, came in for one play. A sweep. Then immediately left the game. Please tell me why Coach Rash was upset at his assistants at the end of the game when questioned by the Bellevue coach? Rash:mad: Assistants:irked:

I wasn't at the game, but dont you think those players that went back into the game in the 4th quarter that were very sweaty was the JV players. Becuase for one I dont think the starters would be as sweaty anymore because they would have had all of halftime and only playing one series in the 2nd half so they wouldn't be that sweaty anymore. Those players that went back in had to be playing alot in the 3rd quarter to be very sweaty, and from what I heard it was the JV team playing for Beechwood in the 3rd quarter. So there is nothing wrong with putting JV players back in because it still is not the starters.. I think your just making a big deal out of nothing, because teams like Beechwood and NCC have so many players that they can put all kinds of big good players in that are still not their starters. I know we saw the same thing last night with Ludlow and NCC. The JV and the rest of the backup players were able to keep scoring against our backup players as well. The scores last night was around the same scores as we usually see when teams play Beechwood and NCC, so I dont think it was there was anything classless that Beechwood did last night becuase this is a normal thing usually when they play small schools like us....

Bellevue is lucky Bwood didn't have a 6th string rb.

As you can see, this is my first post. I have been reading this website since it began and finally, I could not take any more. First of all, anyone who lives in NKY knows that BHS never runs a score up, in fact, we have had players in the past fumble on purpose not to score. We obviously have had teams in the past that could have socored a 100 pts in some games. As someone prevoulsly stated, our so-called blow outs are usually in the 40's range. If you were in attendance last night and know anything about football, most of our 1's(skilled players) played the first series of the 3rd qt and were done. We replaced the entire line up by mid 3rd qt. Our back up QB did not even dress last night so a young man who has played one JV game at QB took over for Elliot, he is 5'5", 140 and that might be stretching it, sorry Richie. Teipel is our starting JV tb who scored on two long runs. The comment regarding the line, we had our starting JV line in, replaced the entire line w/kids who usually never play even in JV games for two plays and then put the starting JV line back in, not the V line. That was the play that Teipel went down their sideline for a long gain. The entire line was replaced again w/the biggest lineman weighing about 165 lbs. The young man who scored the last TD(Kelly) never plays and if you are counting numbers, he would be the 6th tb on the depth chart.

So, hurricane, it is very distrubing to me and I am sure many other BHS faithfuls to read your comments about BHS being "CLASSLESS!" BHS is one of the most respected programs around the state which I can not say for Bellevue any more. I can remember standing on the sidelines and watching your star running back, JD, stick his tongue out right in Coach Yeagle's face. Now that is what I call "CLASSLESS!"

As for the last comment regarding the coaches, Coach Rash was not mad at his Asst., it was the Bellevue coaches making their comments regarding the last TD. They were mad we ran sweep w/the 6th string tb and the 3rd string lineman. Those kids deserve to be successful also after getting beat up all week. Who can say if we would score or not. Heck, we let Bellevue bring a few(8-10) soph to play the freshman last week, what else can we do to be accomadating.

With the game well out of hand, why would you have to substitute an entire line? It was clearly bringing in bigger, better linemen who were already in and out of the game. Why not keep the younger line in at that time (about two minutes left)? There is not one logical reason for this move other than to continue a drive and score again. Keep in mind at the time it was 55-8. Clearly Beechwood was the better team last night. I will not argue that. That was definately uncalled for.

If the shoe was on the other foot there wouldn't be anything being said but since it involves BHS, I know, we ran the score up. When teams have had the chance in the past to pound BHS, they do w/no regrets.

Check out some of the scores around the state. Bellevue should be glad they are located in NKY so they don't have the score ran up on them.

3ptshooter. By the way, welcome to BGP. I feel honored that your first post was in response to me.

I see how it happened. It started with Hurricane's reply.

I am only going to answer this question one time--because this should have never came up in the first place.

The JV Oline went back into the game (all are sophomores) on the fourth down play. All of them don't even get to play JV--a few of them SIT pretty much all the time. That group played a grand total of 10 plays.

SO WHAT IF THEY WENT BACK IN TO HELP THE OFFENSE GET A FIRST DOWN AND RUN OUT THE CLOCK--EVER HEARD OF THAT? BEECHWOOD ISN'T OBLIGATED TO INTENTIONALLY GAFF THE FIRST DOWN SO YOU CAN HAVE THE BALL BACK. No offense to our 3rd/4th team linemen--but they are small---and are still working on their game. At that point--Beechwood wanted to run out the clock.

And for your information--the last touchdown--the young man who scored--that is the FIRST TIME that I have ever seen him IN A BEECHWOOD FOOTBALL GAME IN HIS 4 YEARS IN THE PROGRAM. IS THAT A SIGN OF TRYING TO SCORE? DOUBT IT. (But it was great to see that he has some talent).

If you are trying to say that the first team line went in--you have NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. It doesn't take a genius to see that the first team line is EXTREMELY BIGGER THAN THE GROUP YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

And if you want to get technical--2 out of the 5 actually got a block on the play. I would like to hope that the first group could have done better than that.

In reference to your comments about Coach Rash--that pretty much tells me that you are an assistant at Bellevue. All I can say is--you guys are ALL CLASS. And--if you were there like you say you were--then it doesn't take a genius to see that no one was trying to run up the score. (And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that he was talking about the last TD---not the sweep). I won't say anything about the rest--because the players at Bellevue deserve better than what my ears heard. Coach Rash is a stand up man. And I think that you need to be more careful about miscontruing his comments--he, and the rest of the Beechwood assistants deserve better than this blatant bunch of lies that you are trying to spread.

I find this whole conversation extremely amusing. Beechwood has their 3rd/4th team subs in--Bellevue's first team scores (against the 3rd/4th teamers)--and then go for 2 (when you could have kicked)--that could be considered just as classless. Get your younger kids some experience . . . .

And one last thing--if you want the tape--send me a PM. I would enjoy watching the expression on your face when you realize that you are wrong.
