October 5, 200620 yr Just heard some of R. Moss's comments on espn about the Raiders season and team. it went something like "no one on this team cares so why should I. I don't care" and " I need to move on, lets do it". Great and inspiring comments to help raise the moral of the team don't you think. . Just another T.O. / all about me ego maniac. :irked: All talent and no class, I wouldn't want him on my team - Maybe the Raiders will cut him and hold him out like the Eagles did T.O..
October 5, 200620 yr I stated in another thread it was just a matter of time before Moss exploded on the national scene. I don't blame him for being upset but he handled it the wrong way. These guys thrive off the attention and run their mouth not thinking or caring what consequences it will bring. It seems to be the norm in these days of overpriced athletes.
October 5, 200620 yr The interview I saw wasn't like that. That looks like a media spin compared to what I saw. I saw him saying that he would be open for a trade if that was the route they were planning on going. I saw a confrence about week 2 where Art Shell was talking about what a leader Moss had been in the clubhouse. The Raiders are just flat awful right now and I understand why they are all frustrated. Until Al Davis dies which might not ever happen, the Raiders will suffer. I had a friend that worked in the Raiders organization and he went on about how bad he has hurt the team. I think you can sum up what has happened to the Raiders in looking at their staff. They went and got a man out of retirement that was working at a Bed and Breakfast to coach! Their line coach has zero pro and I think zero college experience.

October 5, 200620 yr It'll get worse before it gets better, hard to believe the Raiders were in the Super Bowl a few years ago, they are flat out horrible.

One of the really funny things is one of the reasons why Warren Sapp went to Oakland a few years ago was because he thought that Oakland had a better chance to be competitive than the Bengals because we were going to have a young QB in Palmer playing...

Less ego for a lot less money.

October 5, 200620 yr I can understand his frustration. He might be a punk, but he's still one of the best WR's in the game. He caught one pass for 5 yds this past week. 7 catches for 84 yds and 1 TD for the season. That used to be his stats for 3 quarters of a GAME.

Their line coach has zero pro and I think zero college experience. That maybe the case stick, I don't really know. I don't blame Moss for being frustrated but imo you don't call your teammates out in public. A lot of it may be the "media spin" but we all know the media never does that, ..uh:D . I could not remember the excact comments but what I put I believe was very close. Cville was correct in himm saying a while back that it was only a matter of time before Moss started running his mouth. Shell by his comments may have just been trying some "damage control", I don't know. What I do know is that the Raiders are the worst team in pro football and I don't see them getting better anytime soon, Moss and T.O. are two of a kind - WR's with loads of talent and are ego maniac idiots. I am sure that espn will be running this story/comments all day today but then again they would never jump on anything like this now would they?:irked: Imo it would never happen but if the media would quit putting a camera and microphone in these guy's faces a lot of this would go away. They want the attention and the spotlight on them. That's all. By the way stick, your line about Davis may not ever die was classic.....good stuff.LOL
October 5, 200620 yr I hate to agree that Moss may have been taken out of context, but I tend to agree that the spin on the interview made Moss seem worse than if you heard the whole thing. He actually sounded contrite in what I heard, sort of regretful, not arrogant, which I will agree is way out of typical Moss character. I think that now he realizes that winning is the thing. I'd bet in a new environment you'd see less a distraction than he is known for. Especially if he was in a winning environment. I wouldn't mind having him on my team!
