I can understand his frustration. He might be a punk, but he's still one of the best WR's in the game.

 

He caught one pass for 5 yds this past week. 7 catches for 84 yds and 1 TD for the season. That used to be his stats for 3 quarters of a GAME.

No question about it. Moss is one of the most exciting players to ever play. If he wasn't upset at not getting the ball & winning he is in the wrong business. I don't question his desire to want to win I only question his decision to take it public. A team meeting would have got his point across but then again it would not have exposed him on ESPN 300 times!!! I think he & TO are having a Knucklehead Contest and right now the race just got a little tighter.

I hate to agree that Moss may have been taken out of context, but I tend to agree that the spin on the interview made Moss seem worse than if you heard the whole thing. He actually sounded contrite in what I heard, sort of regretful, not arrogant, which I will agree is way out of typical Moss character. I think that now he realizes that winning is the thing. I'd bet in a new environment you'd see less a distraction than he is known for. Especially if he was in a winning environment. I wouldn't mind having him on my team!

I agree. I think that Moss has matured enough & been in the league long enough now that he knows it is about winning. With the right team as you mentioned and the ball in Randy's hands someone would be playing in the Super Bowl, he is that good!!! He has been relatively quiet up to this point since becoming a Raider and the way his team is performing I would be upset also. I saw this coming a few weeks ago, so I am not surprised.

Having seen him in college quite a bit, and being embarassed when he shows up like the thug at the Heisman presentation, I thought he'd do well in the NFL, but who knew? Hopefully, for his sake, he's grown up a bit, lost a step perhaps, and realizes his NFL tenure is shortlived. I root for him when he acts like he has sense, which is seldom, and hope he can get out of the miry clay of Oakland. After seeing how Jerry Porter acted, perhaps that's the only way they feel the can escape?! As a side note, do you think that when Al Davis dies, they'll bury him in his velour jogging suit and his shades and bling?

Moss doesn't need to say anything...the product Oakland puts on the field speaks louder than he ever could. It's a given that he is highly frustrated.

:thumb: Moss is an exceptional athlete. He more than likely could have played any sport in college. I hear he had a mean fastball. He sure would intimidate a hitter.

On your last statement, I certainly hope so!!! I am afraid with todays trends they may just come back in style!! The gel seems to be doing well these days!

Oakland's QBs are so bad, I think most of their looks go to the fans or the sky.

As to the topic of the thread, I have never ever been a Moss fan. I think he is a clubhouse cancer every bit as bad as T.O.

Seeing Moss live in action is one of the more depressing things I have ever seen.

 

Honestly, if it was a running play or a pass designed to go somewhere else, he would literally take two or three steps in a jogging type motion and turn and watch the play... we are not talking about once or twice a game... I mean every single play. For as much of a drama queen as T.O. is, one cannot say he is not a competitor on the field.
