Wow and I thought us Bama and OSU football fans were off the charts. UK fans you are 100 % delusional if you think Cal or someone on his staff hasn't paid one or more of the numerous kids that have gone through that program. Almost all high major collegiate program whether it is football or bball in some fashion has provided kids and/or parents with money to go to their program.....Bama, OSU, UNC, USC, Duke, UK, Kansas etc etc

Completely off topic, but you're a Bama and Ohio State fan? How is that even possible?

If you see post #83, he doesn’t have too.

Exactly, clean hands.

A couple things. It's comical to believe the number 15 player in the country got $100K from Adidas but numbers 1-14 got $0.

I am almost certain the FBI being involved in this is a bigger waste of time, money and resources than the DEA going after marijuana growers and sellers. It might be a tie though.

Dan Wolken, Clay Travis and Matt Jones don't even think the crimes that have been presented so far are federal crimes. They haven't gone after tax evasion so I think they're right. There is a rumor that there are 10 more sealed indictments that might blow this up even more next week. Just rumors for now though.

The feds don't waste their time with cases that they don't plan on winning. Federal prosecutors have an absurd conviction rate, it's in the 90th percentile. Any of these coaches that were arrested are likely going to federal prison.

See, I was reading an article that had a bunch of legal experts weighing in and they seemed to overwhelmingly agree that even if convicted the safe bet was that none of the coaches would do jail time...:idunno:

Only if they cut deals and provide information on other people involved. I think you have to serve 70% for fed time, which will likely lead to some of those arrested talking to get a lighter sentence. It's possible that one or two of them get immunity, but that would mean they provided information for the arrests of bigger fish. IMO, Pitino (unless he has already been talking) isn't in the clear as far as prison time goes. If the rumor of the 10 sealed indictments is true, his name is likely on one of them.

I guess that post could be a bit confusing...I was trying to talk about us Bama fans and those OSU fans. I'm not an OSU fan. Respect, but not a fan.

I get it. However this is a severely weak case. I don't get them even going after them. Our government should have more important issues to deal with. They tried to get Barry Bonds for a decade. It's ridiculous.

It's not. That's sac-religous.
I agree. Of course I'm sure UNC is ok. :lol2:

Clean as a whistle

This thing will go as far and deep as the FBI wants it to. Every power 5 school has some dirt. It really just depends on where they look. If they’re going full bore, 40-50 schools could get hit before it’s over.

It is not!
