Drone Delay

Apparently there was a 30 minute drone delay in the Pendleton / Bath game last night. Sheriff had to be called in to handle the problem.

 

Anyone with details on the delay and how it was handled?

And who can inform us all on what the latest FAA Rules are concerning drones?

Pretty sure they are not allowed to be flown over any sporting event unless part of a broadcast.

The South Oldham vs. Oldham County game was delayed about 10 minutes due to a drone flying over the field. They addressed it by having the PA announcer announce that the play would not be resumed until the drone left....it did. Apparently, the operator was close enough to hear the Public Address Announcer...

See that is an awesome photo. Can a drone be used during warmups to capture great moments?

 

I get the safety issue of a drone falling into the stands and support the decision to ban them, but you have to admit to capture a great photo like that would be really cool.

It was about 15 minutes and the city police were dispatched. They figured out who it was pretty quick and went to his house. Not sure of the outcome or if additional investigation is going to be pushed by the school board.

Last year at Ensworth, they used one at halftime to show the crowd on the video board during the Trinity game.
