Wow, what a game. Does anyone have any details?

Corbin got into a track meet with the Yellow Jackets and ran out of steam before Middlesboro did. Score was tied at 42 with 5:00 left, Corbin had the ball at the 40 before a couple of costly penalties pushed them deep into their own territory where they had to punt to Middlesboro. The Yellow Jackets promptly went down and scored, then scored again on another Corbin turnover and then scored again when Corbin turned it over on downs.

Middlesboro has a lot of weapons, but both teams obviously have a lot of work to do defensively. Turnovers really hurt the Hounds tonight, but poor tackling will not allow you to beat teams the caliber of Middlesboro.

Middlesboro came out and was intimidated early on or they might have been just to fired up.

In the 1st quarter Corbin jumped out to a 13-0 lead but than Dalin had a HUGE hit on the M'boro sidelines and sparks went off (Middlesboro would not be stopped the rest of the night).

Every time M'boro would jump out to a 7pt lead Corbin would come back and tie it.

The score was tied at 42 with about 5 minutes to play and M'boro just wore them out and scored 20 (should have been 27 but a suspect holding call wiped away a long run by Trevor Hoskins) unanswered to end it tonight 62-42.

Trevor had a HUGE game he could have had over 200 yrds both running and passing tonight ,and also Casey Earls and C.G Ford both had big nights running the football.

Hunter Adams had 2 Interceptions and Ford had 1.

GREAT GAME JACKETS!!!!!:ylsuper:and Good luck to Corbin the rest of the season.:thumb:

It was a really good hard fought battle by both of these teams I was really impressed, Middlesboros running back Earls did great so did Madon from Corbin great job by both of these teams.

Wow !!!

This is the same Corbin defense that held Rockcastle scoreless, isn't it ?? Never would have guessed this kind of ballgame between these two teams...

Heck of a game by both teams. It allways hurts to loose but we found alot of things out to night about alot of kids. Wasn't much defense on either side of the ball. Like I said one heck of a ballgame/trackmeet. Keep your heads up Corbin take the week of and get better

Why did Josh Martin, Michael Campbell & Kevin French not play tonight? Are they hurt?

Martin was not there because he ran a 104 temperature from what I was told. Campbell played on Defense and should have been in at fullback before the half. I don't know about French. I would have liked to see him in there though.

I am just glad we have an off week so they can work on the defense or should I say whatever that is that was on the field while Middlesboro had the ball because it sure as you know what wasn't defense.

Martin has been our best defensive player all year, but I'm not sure if he would have made a difference or not. It seems as though our DB's & LB's just need to work on their tackling fundamentals. I know that most of them are young, but they are 7 games into the season now, so youth should not be an excuse.

Why doesn't Jesse Hayden play more on the D line. When we rarely had success on the D Line, he was in there. I also would have liked to see more assignment defense against the veer. It's the ONLY way to beat it. Maybe they were told to but blew there assigments. I dont know...im just upset with the D and rambling.

I also would like to see more attitude out of this bunch. #34 and #6 were taunting all night. I aint sayin start a fight but the next play hit em in the mouth to shut em up. Don't lay there and be humiliated.

Speed won this game - Corbin had no one who could keep up with Hoskins, Earls, or Ford. Each had over 100 yards rushing.

I'm not an insider, so I'm just guessing, but it looked like Middlesboro put in a special defense for Corbin over their bye week, and didn't learn it real well. There was a lot of obvious confusion on the Jackets D, and way too many wide-open plays for the Hounds.

Hunter Adams had a really good game despite cramping up for long perioids. Brennan Bowling did a good job spelling Adams on D, and had some nice runs on Offense.

Even though the Jackets had far fewer players, and more players going both ways the whole game, they were in much better shape late in the 4th Quarter than Corbin. It made the difference in the game.

I'm liking those pass numbers. Would like to see more completions and better D from the kids, but we've found out how to score. Cashen's 57 attempts ties him for 4th all time in Kentucky history. Man Alive 57 attempts!!! Willard Mumme

The stats that really stick out to me for Corbin:

1. 57 pass attempts

2. 448 yards passing

3. Only 11 rushes from your RB's

3a. Only 10 net rushing yards.

4. Wagers wth 114 yards receiving(where has he been so far this year?)

5. 3 Interceptions - 1 that was ret for a TD, 1 when Corbin had it 1st & goal from the 2 yard line and another that led to a TD.

6. 26 first downs in a losing effort.

7. Giving up 328 rushing yards.
