Saw a few of those as a baseball player...more than I really cared to. We (Bracken) were pretty good my jr. year and those 3 shattered the dream of going to state. Where are they now?

Yeah and they didn't count their spring break games, had Harrison done that they would have been 37-0.

One of the hardest hitters I remeber seeing. And a cannon behind the plate. Always a great defensive team. I remeber seeing Noochie at third the first time. We laughed cause this little kid was playing third, and he vacuumed EVERYTHING!!!

This is one of those records that is almost too hard to believe... I mean, come on, 26 straight AB's w/ a hit? Had to be a generous scorer.

 

Think about it....if that Bridwell kid was a .300 hitter thru 74 AB's, he would have ended up a .480 hitter after that streak.

 

If he was already a .400 hitter thru those 74 AB's, which he would probably have to have been considering the difficulty of such a streak, he would have ended somewhere around .580. WOW.

 

Of course, I'm basing this on a 100 AB season. Anyway, not to try to take away from the kid, but this may be the most impressive record in state history.

The 11 straight AB's with a hit is very plausible; even the 13 is believable. But 26? Amazing.

 

It's like, instead of the major league record being 56 straight games, somebody reeling off a 112 game streak.

Noochie is still playing, last I heard he was in the Reds organization, AA i think. And every stat that I have seen has him hitting at or above .300.
