STRIKE3 Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I wanted to start this thread, to inform others of the various KHSAA State Baseball records. I know many can link to the KHSAA and view this same information but each day or once a week, lets post accomplishments in categories, for those of use who share a passion for KY High School Baseball. http://KHSAA Baseball Records Here is record for most Team State Championships: 6 - Owensboro ('64,69,76,77,83.87) 6 - DuPont Manual ('47,52,55,57,59,62)
STRIKE3 Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 Most Consecutive State Championships: 3 - PRP ('94-'96) 3 - Ashland Paul Blazer('66-'68)
FairFan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Chase Joiner (Christian Co.) 21 consecutive wins. Is that still going, or did the state game stop the streak?
STRIKE3 Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 Chase Joiner (Christian Co.) 21 consecutive wins. Is that still going, or did the state game stop the streak?I believe Joiner was 12-3 in '06 and he lost in the State Tournament, to Beechwood.
Pat Dad Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Just found this thread. What a great idea Strike. :thumb:
FairFan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I believe Joiner was 12-3 in '06 and he lost in the State Tournament, to Beechwood. So the 21 consecutive would not be still on going then? Thanks
STRIKE3 Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 So the 21 consecutive would not be still on going then? ThanksI believe, it was stopped during the '06 season. 21 consecutive wins, is an amazing accomplishment.

KY Thorobred Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Not to boast too much, but most of the records are associated with Harrison County.
FairFan Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Not to boast too much, but most of the records are associated with Harrison County. HR's and after seeing the feild, I understand why.
KY Thorobred Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 HR's and after seeing the feild, I understand why. Wins Runs Hits Doubles Homeruns Batting Average Triples RBIs Walks Pitching Wins Perfect Games Coaching Wins Mr. Baseball Awards These are the areas that the Thorobreds rank in the top 10 in either team or individual! But I am sure that the Breds are only this good because of thier field since we play all of our games at home. It also helps to have a small field when you are getting doubles and triples!
strike-3 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 HR's and after seeing the feild, I understand why. Apollo played up there a few years back, and had a couple of guys hit it out of the park for the 1st time in their varsity careers.
KY Thorobred Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Apollo played up there a few years back, and had a couple of guys hit it out of the park for the 1st time in their varsity careers. I remember that, they were 31-6 but went 1-1 up there.
strike-3 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 After looking over these records, I would have to think that Brad Wilkerson of Apollo is the best all around player ever in the state. These are his rankings for his career. Runs 7th Hits 7th Doubles 4th Triples 1st Runs Batted In 6th Batting Average 11th Walks 2nd Wins 4th Shutouts 7th Earned Run Average 6th No Hitters 4th Strikeouts 3rd Does anyone else come close to those numbers as far as hitting and pitching.
