Just curious...what do you mean by "In the Bailey" when referring to Nippert? I haven't been there for any events, yet while on campus I took a good look to observe the new additions to the stadium, yet I'm perplexed by what "the Bailey" is. :idunno:

Nkubball19 nailed it. Sits opposite the typical UC Student Section of their football games.

The Bailey hosts the rowdy/craziest fans, in a good way. They march in with drums, let off smoke bombs, start all the chants and get after it. Student section on steroids is a great description.

Here is what it will be:

30,000 soccer fans wanting to see FC Cincy vs an MLS team

200 peaceful protestors trying to get their message out to the masses

300 news crew personnel covering the protest

And hopefully a few very happy beer vendors haha!

I really want to go to one of these games, I've heard it is a really fun atmosphere.

Tonight or July 24th would be the best ones to go to.

I went to my first FCC game on Saturday. I really enjoyed it. It would be so cool to sit in The Bailey. Those guys are awesome with their drums, chants and enthusiasm. It was cool to see them marching from the concourse to their seats prior to the game.

I believe they typically march from a local bar or tailgate area. Hoping the protest don't take away from it.

I have been twice, the first time was great, the second time was awesome.

Watched some live video. Looks like the support for Sam was not as expected. Hundred or maybe @theguru should have gone to the game.

A few friends I know said that the protest was extremely small as they walked into the stadium. Very peaceful and no issues.

Anyone that went have anything?

Good to hear that there were no issues. Several Facebook friends went and didn't mention anything about the protest.

I feel like Cincinnati gets a bad rap (and maybe somewhat deservedly so) because of the Timothy Thomas and the race riot stuff of the past. I feel like there have been several recent situations that had the potential to turn out poorly, but have all went off peacefully.

Thread title is a bit misleading. Presume just the word "at" got dropped since MJ described it correctly in the OP. To be clear, I don't think the protesters were "protesting the FCC game" but rather "protesting at the FCC game" under the theory "protest where the eyeballs are."

You are correct about missing the "at".
