Louisville has had a convention pull out as a result of this ban.

I hadn't heard that, which one?

Louisville mayor sent a letter to California begging to be an exception as did Lexington mayor...maybe they will relent for those two cities.

Could some of our members that would agree that SB17 is wrong, please read the bill and tell me exactly which portion they are afraid of or disagree with?

Still waiting on someone to read this and tell me exactly what they disagree with. Come on I know some of you are in lock step with California on this...please give me the exact part of this bill that is so troubling?

I don't know which one, but I will find out. Two good friends are execs at GLCVB. I just haven't had a chance to talk to them as work has been busy.

Still haven't had the chance to get details, but the at press conference today by the Mayor and President of GLCVB Karen Williams, they said they so far are both out of Chicago. One is a medical association and one is a research association.

Here's some info about the economic impact of Kentuckys tourism industry.

I wonder how much of that is made up of just the Kentucky Derby, Keeneland, and Kentucky Speedway?

I know our United States Pony Club is having their national convention in Louisville this winter. I don't expect them to change since the headquarters are in Lexington.

A hair over $200 million for the Derby. I would guess lower for Keeneland and the Speedway, but I don't know.
